WHAT SHOULD I DO IF INTIMATE IMAGES OF ME HAVE BEEN SHARED WITHOUT MY CONSENT?

This is sometimes called intimate image abuse. We don't allow it on FabSwingers. Sharing intimate images without consent is against our terms and photo rules, and may be a criminal offence.

Whenever a member uploads a profile photo, they are now shown information about the law on sharing images without consent and asked to confirm that they understand the rules.

Can admin explain why they allow single accounts to upload images involving others....

How do you know consent had been given??

There's absolutely no way of being sure that consent was given.

No accounts regardless of solo or couples should be able to add pictures showing people other than the account holders.

Its amazed me and my partner over the years how many people are shocked when we wont allow them to take pictures or videos during meets. Even those that insist its for their own personal usage. Why would you open you out yourselves in such a vulnerable situation.

This happened to me luckily I recognised her from a group we were both members of. I privately messaged her to let her and she was horrified and devastated. She contacted him and he was of course full of apologies but the damage had been done

Just because an account is a couples account doesn’t mean that every picture they have in them is just of them. I am in photos on several couples accounts. Those are with my full consent.

Personally I would like to see everyone in a photo “tagged” and they have to accept the tag before the picture can be used. By accepting the tag they are consenting. If you don’t consent then don’t accept the tag. Onus is on the uploader to ensure they have got permission/tagged the right person else they are liable for whatever issues might arise.

Having been on site for 11 years and a site before this sharing images I’m fully aware my content could be out there being used without my knowledge or consent. That accountability lies with me, if I don’t want the risk then I shouldn’t share it in the first place even for personal use.

My guess is it's a tick boxing exercise so that if anyone could take legal action against it, it would be against the individual rather than the site itself. Ultimately, I think photos of two or more people shouldn't be on a singles profile but it would be harder to moderate for couples.

As a single guy you you can't win much 😁 you get asked why there's nothing but dick pics but it's not understood you can't add images of others.

I've had pictures taken down that show nothing but a ring on a finger or a thong - apparently making them highly identifiable, yet as people say, pics and vids regularly show a great deal more. Tbh I've no clue how people take anything while concentrating on someone.. The whole consent bit seems a little old hat... half of fab is OF now 👉👌

We like to take pics and vids. We only use our own phone, we only do it with our playing partners consent and we don’t film faces. If the person we’re with doesn’t want to be filmed then that’s fine it’s not a deal breaker or anything

That's a great idea, and puts the onus on users themselves assuming the site owners implemented the coding, removing the responsibility from already overworked photo admin.

Would obviously only work when all involved are active site members, but that's as it should be too.

If all parties involved in a meet discuss prior to meeting about are you ok being filmed and then after the meet say they did not consent to being filmed then the fault lies with the individuals for going in first place.

Simply put if its agreed fiming will take place then consent at that point is given.

I find it curious that the BBC report that primarily dealt with coercion and control within swinging couples' relationships morphed into an attack on Fab, and single accounts.

My thoughts are should not couples have to demonstrate that no coercion or control is happening in the swinging relationship?

In relation to pictures I have seen many couples' profiles with pictures of: a DP occurring, with two or more couples, of a half a dozen or more women in lingerie bending over, with the ubiquitous phrase "Not my husband". Not forgetting the pictures of bi females playing. Similarly on single women profiles there are pictures of them with men and women.

I would suggest any action should apply to all profiles.
