When I ran the Neath day social years ago I always held it on a Wednesday. But I worked shifts then and never worked Wednesdays so it was the best day for me. It was always really popular. You will never find a day that suits everyone. But I would say for a day time social then something covering school hours for at least part of it will up your attendance as a lot of people will be able to attend without needing to arrange childcare like they would on weekends etc. Good luck
