I’ve had a some fantastic times here on fab. I think, increasingly, however that it’s a young man’s space. What do others - men, women and couples - think?

I agree once over 50 or 60 tends to get nothing. Womens ideas mostly i suppose. Always after the younger men. I think age doesn't matter so much for men. My preference is connection rather than just looks or age.

When I first joined in my early 20s all I met were mainly older men. Now I am nearly 40, my target audience (were I single and looking) would be men in their early -mid 20s. So I have gone from one extreme to the other. My current partner is 30 years younger than my ex husband was.

Age doesn't matter to me, Kisses is 2 years younger and The Wandering Welshman was 16 years older.

What matters is how the guys act.

That's not been my experience. I'm quite selective who I meet, so it's never been a sex fest for me on Fab, but I still chat and meet people since I made it all the way to 54.

A key thing is not just relying on emails. Once I started meeting at clubs and socials my experience was transformed.

I only joined in my 50s and have had reasonable success despite being very selective about who I messaged. I've had similar success on Craigslist, Reddit, and Tinder.

Now as a couple we get a lot more interest, though.

As mentioned above, don’t just rely on messages here.

I’ve met people below and above my preferred ages in socials and clubs and really hit it off with them- but I would have been unlikely to connect online.

I see a fairly even split of those seeking younger vs older. Although I suspect it's generally that people are more selective due to quantity of male users compared to other profiles. So odds for a male any age stacked against them....maybe

Definitely not true for everyone. Personality is much more important factor for me.

My boyfriend is 8 yrs younger than me and loves to tease me about my enjoyment of older men.

Ruby has a preference for older men but it's not set in stone, but isn't generally attracted to them.

As people say, personality and communication is far more a trait that gets her/our attention. Have found that a well thought out, or funny first message works wonders for a response from her/us (and reading the profile).

A pattern have noticed is impatience with both younger and older. It kind of kills the mood most times.

I've just had the 'don't be impatient' conversation this morning. People seeing you're online and upset you aren't replying immediately is such a turn off!
