Any other forumites suffer from this annoying condition?

Apart from the obvious of trying to keep warm, any other suggestions or remedies you have found helps?

Since I moved from Newcastle to Hereford it seems to have gotten a little better, it is warmer here. I have tried a few things but nothing seems to help, however If I can think of anything that will help you I will let you know.

Yeah,,its more than annoying.

I find that when hands especially, start to warm up again, it can be extremely painful, like you have just plunged your hands into a deep fat fryer.

Still not found anything that really helps. Extra thick thermal gloves and heated handlebars on motorbike aren't really helping when riding in winter. 😭

If you go on websites that provide stuff for dancers and ballerinas you can get what I can only describe as little silicone toe condoms (for each individual toe)

I find those under ski socks are really useful when out walking

For hands thin silk gloves under normal gloves work well.

At my desk I've a foot muff that has a space for a hot water bottle. That's toasty.

Wearing mittens instead of gloves does help. I wear cashmere lined leather gloves if I can't wear mittens.

Keeping hydrated helps me, as well as exercise and movement.

I stopped smoking a long time ago and that made a huge difference.

Over the last few years I've been buying fingerless gloves for my son and I wear them now in the Winter. Seem to really help, I guess because I don't give my hands a chance to get too cold.

I mr. have had Reynauds for many years. 30 plus. The key things I have learned would be;

There is a strong genetic component to it. Siblings and children in our case.

Vibration is bad! You need to be very careful about your choice of motorcycle...as anyone should. Heated grips do help as does rubber mounting the bars where possible, but the root cause is the vibration frequency. It is often said that a 4 cylinder is the worst but that depends on the engine size and the revs it operates at. Half and 1/4 of max rpm can be worst. There are certain revs that bikes are designed to run rough at for passing noise tests or it might just need a service? If a particular bike is problematic just get rid of it! It makes the condition worse.

Pressure on fingers is bad. Even what you might consider a tiny pressure from a slightly small glove will trigger Reynauds. That is the reason why a previous poster recommended mittens. Not because of their being warmer but because of less pressure. Similarly avoid even slightly tight inners. I (bike) ride in winter using mountaineering gloves.

Big shoes and lose socks. None of this "I only bought a children's size to avoid VAT" nonsense ladies🀣

Always have good gloves/ mittens in the pocket of every coat. Don't cheapskate on them.

Bottom line is my condition is less troublesome now than it was 30 yrs. Accept the basics and make a few better choices. Bit like fab really?

Oop....

Big 4 cylinder bike here.

But as its a V4 doesn't really suffer from engine vibration.

'Bars are rubber mounted and have heated grips (when I remember to turn the buggers on pmsl)

A V4 will still vibrate but differently or less and it probably will indeed be better😁

We have several bikes including two big straight fours. One of them vibration numbs my cock after a while but Mrs seems to not find it objectionable at all πŸ€”. "It only does it when ridden slowly officer"

I played hockey in school but eventually had to stop because of the pain from the vibrations through the stick.

I absolutely hate suffering with this (Mr). I've found nothing that really helps it. The doctor recommended copper bands to go around the wrist? They apparently help?

I suffered until I started taking chaga. It really works. 1/2 teaspoon of ground chaga with my morning coffee and the next day its gone. Often now I only have to take it 3 or 4 times a year.

May also be beneficial for erections as it aids blood flow especially to the small capillaries.

I tried everything else for 3 years before finding this miracle mushroom.

I'll definitely take a look into this. I've heard that chaga helps with quite a lot of issues too like sleep and stress

I have read recently about Viagra and Cialis helping, it's because it dilates the blood vessels. Also my daughter who gets it eats 80/90% dark chocolate which also dilates the blood vessels. She is a research scientist by profession. Obviously it won't help everyone.

It won't be for everyone but regular cold exposure works well. Exposing hands feet and body to micro doses of cold builds Resiliency, at least for me it's been working so far.

Fortunately I don't suffer with tinnitus. I'm happy I've been of some use.
