Yes their is a virus but its like last few years thats only thing thats killed people no more flu or cancer or old age just covid. I know people believe everything they hear on tv or what they get told but once Judge Judy once said it if it Doesnt make sence its a lie ... so make your own mind up what uv heard over past few years about covid

Not sure about rules in Yorkshire OP but down here we can see family and friends, currently outside, we can go into the office if needs be and we dont have to be vaccinated, we choose to be. Give it another couple of months and should be able to do the rest of whats on your list...patience OP.

A lot of this is either not true or will change / revert back to how it was eventually. A lot of things don’t make sense to me but I wouldn’t say they are lies, particularly to those saying them.

Stay strong and positive, we are on the right side of the battle, after a long period of tough times. It’s slowly getting better.

Whilst there have been some restrictions for most of the last year, there are still many things that you can still do.

You CAN go and see family, you will just need to do it outside.

You CAN go and see friends, you will just need to do it outside.

Most care homes have something in place for limited visitors.

You CAN go into work, if your employer allows it.

You DON'T have to wear a mask, unless you are entering a building.

You DON'T have to get vaccinated AT ALL, it is not mandatory.

All of the RULES in place to control the spread of the virus are TEMPORARY, with expiry dates set in law. Further reductions in restrictions come on Monday.

Millions of people have died of other things unrelated to Covid. Cancer deaths are at a similar level to previous years.

It is REALLY OBVIOUS, that measures designed to reduce Covid WILL also reduce Flu.

Just because YOU don't understand something, it doesn't make it a lie. I'm sure that there are a billion things that you understand... I know there's much that I don't understand, that is most certainly not a lie.

Now I understand stand that people are frustrated by the current situation, but the idea that the governments of the world are conspiring against us, is the most unbelievable thing imaginable... many of these governments are at war with each other ffs.

. I don’t understand how gravity works but it does. Sometimes things that don’t make sense to you are not lies but rather they exceed your ability to comprehend them... Human Thinking is flawed, both in the minds being lead and those leading. Those of us who are able to make sense of this situation can tell you that whilst it might not make sense in your head the fact is that this isn’t because you are being lied to... It boils down to to a very simply concept, reducing personal interactions reduces viral transmission and that buys time, this concept has saved countless lives. Flu has been drastically reduced by Covid measures, cancer deaths are still many and age related, none Covid deaths continue too, including members of my own family. You may have made up your mind but your thinking is flawed.

You do realise that just putting the work fact in capitals doesn't actually make it so..

Have you actually looked at what Agenda 2030 is, or Event 201? These are things regularly jumped on by "conspiracy theorists".

Event 201 was a theoretical international planning meeting to develop strategic understanding of how we might deal with a global pandemic if it was to happen. This was organised in the wake of a long succession of epidemic events (averaging 200 a year) around the world, and some "near misses" with viruses like Zika and Sarrs... this "Event" has greatly aided the response to covid. It was the fourth such "Event" with previous ones occurring in 2001, 2005 and 2017.

Agenda 2030 is a vague global recommendation to address some of the "issues" faced by humanity. It includes addressing World Hunger, Poverty, Sexual Inequality, Affordable & Clean Energy, Promoting Healthy living, Available of Clean Water... non of which really sounds so scary to me. It is basically just a list of the UN's sustainability Goals.

It is the job of government to protect us first an foremost not to grant are every wish.

Democracy needs the people to act like intelligent adults but many do not therefore thy need to be told what to do sometimes.

We train our kids and animals,they are not allowed to do as they want in most responsible homes.

What is freedom is it the rights to kill,murder and rob etc answer no we have rules as democracy is for the good and wellbeing of all not the selfish minority

The Great Reset, is a concept from the World Economic Forum. It presents ideas for how countries might recover from the economic impact of Corona Virus by "Building Back Better" for example, ensuring that new "sustainable" indindustries replace lost industries... again sounds sensible.

4 IR refers to the idea that we are entering a 4th Industrial Revolution... and age of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Connectivity. This is about steering education to ensure that these skills requirements are met... how terrifying is that

Clearly the conspiracy theories are nonsense and I do not agree with most of what the OP said or how it was said. But there is a point in there that those mocking are either willfully ignoring or do not understand. The government has used Covid to push through some extremely dubious laws, such as the right to detain indefinitely, without scrutiny and is extending them without reasonable explanation. I often see the defence of ‘why would the government tank the economy deliberately?’. They aren’t, of course, but they also aren’t incentivised to make a balanced decision because Covid gives them a ready made excuse why the economy is crashing and it does not matter to them personally if it does. The wealthy always do well out of a recession, it is only the working and middle classes who lose out. There has never been a government that has given back freedoms once taken away and also the scientists want to extend their 15 minutes of fame (and if you think they all don’t have pharma share options you are naive). In short, the restrictions may well have been proportionate but the ongoing extensions, moving of the goalposts and possible corruption should demand everyone’s attention. The fact that the left are actually in favour of laws restricting the right to protest is astonishing and should ring alarm bells that people are acting out of fear rather than reason. Few are objecting because protests spread Covid but the new law is not temporary.

I'm assuming that the UBI you refer to is the Universal Basic Income. This is a really interest idea where everyone gets a government issued wage. There are countries who do this, but it's not common. In essence though it is not much different to our own benefits system except that is only paid to those in need.

Finally, the only thing on the list that is concerning is China's Social Credit System. A system that is likened to 1984's Big Brother where they appear to want to track and monitor their entire population 24/7 and use the system for finding dissenters.... this is where the human rights laws protect us in democratic countries.

Most care homes have something in place for limited visitors.

You CAN go into work, if your employer allows it.

You DON'T have to wear a mask, unless you are entering a building.

You DON'T have to get vaccinated AT ALL, it is not mandatory.

All of the RULES in place to control the spread of the virus are TEMPORARY, with expiry dates set in law. Further reductions in restrictions come on Monday.

Millions of people have died of other things unrelated to Covid. Cancer deaths are at a similar level to previous years.

It is REALLY OBVIOUS, that measures designed to reduce Covid WILL also reduce Flu.

I would agree that proportional is probably fairer and that the boundary changes proposed include increases of 7 new constituencies in the South East, 3 in the South West and 3 in the Eastern are more likely to be Conservative areas.

A constituency must have no less than 69,724 eligible voters but no more than 77,062.

The reason the areas above are getting more constituencies is because the population is increasing in those areas thus the system has to be made fairer.

I would not despair that a Constituency will forever remain a particular stronghold.

Canterbury had never been Labour and was considered one of the Conservatives safest seats, safe enough that a monkey could hold it.

Unfortunately that monkey (Julian Brazier) lost it to Rosie Duffield who then held it with an increased majority despite having Jezza as Labour leader and the local left wing mafia trying to oust her.

The op is right many of our freedoms have been curtailed but we have /are in a pandemic. The goverments first duty is the protection of its citizens. The precautions i believe were necessary.

I do think that some of the restrictions are /were ludicrous. For example

You can get a birthday card from wh Smith but not from clintons.

You can buy clothes in the supermarkets but not from a clothes shop.

You can exercise but sit down with a coffee and the police call that a picnic.

I think the police have been far too heavy handed in enforcing the regulations. Those people fined who have chosen to appear in court 90% of fines have been thrown out as unlawful.

I fear the consequences of the lock down wont be known until long after all this is over. Unfortunately it had to be done. My son is in the nhs and on one day he put 3 people in body bags.

I think the majority still do want to follow the rules but can also see why people are starting to get pissed off seems like once everyone does whats asked of them its then something else.for example get the vaccine and we can open back up then its even if two peeps have had both jabs they still cant meet indoors.myself i still following the rules not even using public transporr to get to work either walking or cycling but just in area i live more and more peeps are just doing thee own thing.if they dont get shit back to normal soon can only see more and more thinkin fuck this

Whilst I understand your frustration, having different rules dependant upon your jabs would be difficult if not impossible to monitor and given the examples of how stupid some people are, seeing older people mixing would send a societal message to those who have little time or inclination to follow the rules that it's OK.

I suspect these non believers were about 400 years ago. Quarantine is not a new word. Even our predecessors suffered desease and viruses, and even back then they understood how to deal with it. Sad that today some still don't think it is real or a conspiracy.

OP, not meaning to patronise or argue or put you down in any way, but I would like to echo what some others have already pointed out:

I have close relations who work on the front lines at NHS - THEY can see what is real and what is not. THEY tell me that it is a a grave situation and nothing like a flu or any other illness or disease. Not the politicians and not the media.

I have had close friends and relations who have had mild COVID and also who have had COVID that put them on a ventilator.

And just to clarify what a ventilator is and why it is relevant - it is used when you cannot breathe for yourself. Basically it breathes for you. That is not someone getting treatment, that is someone on the edge of life.

There is nothing else out there that can put a person in that state within a fortnight just by being within feet of someone healthy carrying a germ.

So please do not whine. I have never been a Boris fan but no government would have got it right.

OP i'd ignore most of them they are the exact same people who thought Northern Ireland would remain peaceful with brexit....guess what it didn't, it has been in riots for the past week now in Belfast & London/Derry.

They do not have the foresight to see or even realise the full consequences for those left living because they are so concerned with the 0.15% of the population already old, sick and ill people who have died, forgetting that they are no longer here to feel the pain nor the consequences, the living are and that this virus has a 99% survival rate, it's not gonna mass extinct the human race.

BTW they tried to but covid on my grandpa's DC despite dying at home, in his sleep, wife never got ill & nor was he from any virus, gran wouldn't let them cos it wasn't true and that was this time last year now.

2 others in care homes who had dementia/alzimers, heart probs, overweight, various medical issues only keeping them alive by pharma pills adn are in those covid stats.

All 3 were well over 80, all 3 overweight, all 3 on various meds, all 3 had other medical conditions, all 3 had poor quality of life due to medical conditions too.

How many were actually due to DNR's being followed, they were handing out like candy especially to those with little to no capacity to make that decision.

the death stats are bollocks, It's not Covid itself that has done the deed.

That is just the process of life, it's everyone's destination.

a year ago we didn’t know how long it would , now we have a rough timeline it has been communicated

plus i would bet behaviour experts would say if you told people it was at least a year up front they would have said not a chance and ignored rules sooner. but thats just a gut feel for me
