The last Newcastle social was another great success with over 100 people attending. However, its soon going to be Christmas and the time of year when we are all out partying, so to help get you in the party spirit for the festive season why not kick it off and join fellow fabsters for our Christmas social on the 29th of November. The theme for this social is party dress and bling.

Please make sure you put your names down as soon as possible and tell your friends that the social is now in the forum.

Jesmond is not far... Perhaps 5 to 10 mins in a taxi depending on traffic... Plus you can get the metro depending on what time you are heading back from the town centre.

We spent a long while looking for hotels. Pros and cons. The further away from the centre the cheaper but then you have taxis on top. Bearing in mind we are catching the train that would be 4 journeys. Eventually found the Tune in the centre for £100. Pretty basic and small rooms but one we were in in Edinburgh was modern and clean.

Hadrian lodge hotel is just outside of Newcastle and adjacent to metro station which is a 10 minute trip into Newcastle..a taxi into the city is 7 pounds

Cost of hotel is 42 pounds for the night and thats with breakfast and your own bathroom..once again booking dot com

The hotels we mentioned are on outskirts of the City.......why go to Sunderland for the Newcastle social

We got this deal...

Premier Inn quayside newcastle on the Saturday 29 is fully booked..but when we book 2 nights Sunday was only £29...and both nights..29/30 it's only £64......BARGAIN.....

We will carry on looking for a last minute deal but failing that a 20 mile taxi home for us which of course rules out any after social hotel naughtyness lol. Looking through the list we only recognized 2 names and 1 of those has pulled out so if anyone sees a lonely couple 1 of who is sporting a ridiculous Movember tash come and say hi lol.
