You can get the bus to Cresswell Nest (think no. 1) and then it's about 2.5 mile walk up the road to where people park but of course you can walk the beach

Its not an official nudist beach but it is tolerated whilst people are behaving. its only when people start to treat the place like an open air swingers club that there are any issues. So please bear in mind especially coming into the summer that families do take their children onto the beach

For all the people using the beach/dunes as a play area rather than just a naturist beach, just be aware that in a lot of the local FB groups people are gathering evidence/photos of antisocial behaviour (mostly triggered by all the campers and fires down there) in order to get a Public Space Protection Order put in place by the police

Like others have said it'll be quiet this time of year but there is still a lot of dog walkers so I'd say north side of the beach is best.

Also check weather before you go because lately it's been bad and I don't think you'd want to be getting swept out while skinny dipping haha
