Dogging - legal question/warning (Norfolk)

Dear all,

Odd legal question. I've tried dogging a few times (only once with any kind of success), but still tempted.

However, over the last two weeks, one of the more infamous sites in Norfolk has had a spate of incidents where doggers have been shouted at and physically threatened, cars have been keyed and/or egged, people driving through at dangerous speeds yelling abuse, and so on.

Has anyone run into a situation like this before - and what if anything should be done?

Dont be scared to call the police. Property or safety at risk, use 999 not 101.

Put a dash cam in your windscreen and note registration numbers if possible as they enter.

If directed at you, it could be classed as a "hate crime", but main thing is dont be afraid to report it.

My car was egged a while back and they didnt expect what came after..

It has been known to aim a a couple of large rockets, purely in self defence but not suggesting this for a minute Cans if Tango have also proved useful and brings new meaning to "you have been Tango'd" - sunroof is best for this though!!

Rocks have also been thrown in response to eggs.. they are working on intimidation and fear of contacting the police..

If I suspect something wrong, put phone on record and dictate number plates amd other details you may need later. Keep doors locked Be ready to leave if needed and keep an escape plan in your head.

My favourite if followed is to get ahead and when they loose sight on a bend, take a turn putting lights out, 3 point turn and after they shoot past, go back in the other direction. Be careful of brake and reversing lights if doing this as they can give you away!!

Use another site, preferably one that has not been broadcast all over the web thus attracting the clientele that you describe.

The little-ones do like their play, don't they.

They tried it in the layby I use....with no success, everyone just moved down the opposite end. One carload milkshaked a truck when the driver told them to urinate elsewhere, and as a consequence got pushed into the ditch by the trucker. Funnily enough, in a crowded layby, nobody witnessed the event. One of the little darlings jumped onto a guys car-bonnet and dented it, so the guy got out to inspect it and got a mouthful, so he decked the little twat (not all gay guys are thin and wimpy!).

That said, violence towards them is a zero-sum game.

You should notify the police, via their LGBTQ liason. The site down at Wisley has a quite effective police attitude towards youth aggression. You should contact Norfolk Constabulary who run an initiative called "Stop Hate in Norfolk" (SHIN). The website and/or phone line are available by searching "Norfolk Police Hate Offences". Take care.
