Like most aspects of bondage they're fun for as long as the subs body can handle the position. Personally I enjoy it, but the back aches after a while.

Good quality, strong and well padded ankle resistants may cost a bit but very worth the money. Depending on the position there may be a certain degree of pressure. And as with any restraint maintenance of circulation is important. Also some wrigglers can be surprisingly strong.

The thigh ones are velcro and ankle/ wrist are buckle fastening.
