How many messages have you been sent by one person without you replying or doing anything whatsoever

I know most people would just block him but I'm actually interested to see how many messages I continue to get,

I have had 7 in under 24 hours without me responding at all, it's strange how people think they'll just send another message and maybe get a response if somebody obviously hasn't responded to the other ones.

Think I've had about 20-30 b4 I block them. Yeah, usually getting more needy and angry. Get the hint, I'm not interested. I usually reply with something really snotty and block them.

Must be either so funny or frustrating for single ladies on here. To send that many messages is just mad. Then to get angry or rude when you don't answer.

I'll generally send a little wink to see if any interest and a message. If I hear nothing back just assume she's not interested and move on. I know guys messages get lost in the hundreds of others sent to ladies so expect less replies. Wish I was as popular lol. The curse of the single guy on fab (the fake profiles and time wasters ruin it for the genuine ones).

It's an interesting question. I know I'm not answering the question directly but I would like to make a point if I may to this thread.

For me, I will always reply to each message I receive because I think that's courteous. On the other side, I'm sure women on here receive lots of messages so I do understand if they do not reply to each message so that's reasonable and after all that's their choice, they do not have to reply to anyone.

However, I think that if a guy has taken the time to write a nice reply with some meaningful content that is not a copy and paste or a one liner like do you want to fuck me, or great tits etc, then a reply would not harm. It may also help him understand why you do not want to meet so may help him in the long run when replying to folk. Having said that, if the person in question is receiving many messages from many folk or many messages from the same person, then I understand that they may not reply or they just block them, it's their choice.

If only the ratio on FS regarding men versus women was more equal...

I write individual messages based on the profile of the person I'd like to chat with/meet.

If it's read and deleted, I take it as them not being interested in me. If it's unread, deleted or not, then I will sometimes send a new message as the first could have been lost in an avalanche of messages.

How many women message single guys first? I get sent messages through other sites but not fab, why is that?

I had this exact conversation with a friend recently, after getting 11 messages accross 1 day from someone.

I wasn't even online.

I decided to see what would happen.

It's now been almost 2wks & we're on message 25!

He messages Mrs doesn't reply maybe ten messages later he gives up.

A month or two goes past

Receive a message from same guy.

Hey remember me,how are you?

We spoke a few months ago and was planning a meet are you still interested?

Mrs hasn't got the best memory recall and fall's for this one time and again and replies, suddenly you can't get ride of him.

The strange thing is this and I'm sure fems and couples will confirm this.

Many guy's use the same tactics as described above and others.

My question is,

Is there a secret forum or chatroom where oddballs exchange ideas on how to harass and intimidate and generally be a pest?

We have a couple of guys who "check in" every couple of months, which is fine (and one of whom we messaged back a couple of times). What bugs us is when we've corresponded with someone in the past and it's petered out, and then they message again a few months later as though it was their first message again. Makes is feel so special!

It's usually not.

And I never know which nice, thoughtful polite message will not take no for an answer or escalate to abuse or threats if I decline. So blanket rule applies.

Depends on my mood. Sometimes I’ll open, read, Mark unread and delete. Sometimes I’ll let the messages gather for a week then on a quiet evening, open them all, leave them as read and bulk delete. Just depends.

And the content of a first message isn’t irrelevant.

A response isn’t needed if one isn’t interested.

All it does for some men is give them a green light to send more messages with “why not” “you won’t regret it” and the rest.

Besides, what may be meaningful to you, may not be meaningful to me.

Also guys can send a “meaningful” message which has been copied and pasted and all they do isn’t change the name.

I’d much rather spend my time focusing on those I’m actually interested in.

Actually no.

These guys who send 20/30 messaged in a few hours are a small minority, for me anyway.

The rest are different guys. When I got to Number 1 on Hot Photos I had over 1100 messages... I deleted the ones I wasn’t interested in (most) and replied to the ones I was interested in.

Someone I’m not interested in sending a “thoughtfully composed message” doesn’t mean I have to reply.

I had a guy send 40 messages after I'd stopped replying to him. He was basically arguing with himself. I made a forum post about him and got a 48 hour forum ban because he'd reported it. Lol I didn't name and shame him.. It was just because the content wasn't light hearted.

Hmm I've had a good 20 messages within a 3 hour space with escalating aggression and abuse because I had replied- I had the tab open on my laptop in the background whilst still doing work.

Or I've had "Well you haven't said no so I'm going to keep messaging" after 15 messages unanswered

Thing is, the first 80 odd or so were questions, compliments and then a load of question marks. Then it was loaaaaads of abuse. Then it was the ‘well I’m God’s gift to women so you’re lucky I’d even consider you’. Then it was grovelling apologies

It was quite an experience, I would read the messages every few minutes because when I clicked on them they would just fall off the screen!

Little tip to help with that one - when you receive a message from someone that you're not interested in - make a Private Note on their profile of the date and even copy/paste their message there - acts as a point of reference if they message again

However in this case it's justified criticism.

On my wife's single profile she has had many guys as described by the op.

If you ever have the chance to sit with a female friend and read her profile for a few days you will understand.

If they have been read and marked unread, when they are deleted they still show as having been read and deleted even if they were marked unread when deleted

Hmm to me it's not a matter of not replying to messages because I'm inundated by them (I quite like getting lots of messages, I will admit the attention is nice) but more because I'm scared of the retaliation message inevitably insulting my size/looks after I reject them. Literally just before typing this I've just been called "a horrible little bitch". Not to tar everyone with the same brush but maybe if the minority of men on here were nicer human beings they wouldn't spoil it for the majority and women would be more inclined to reply. In any case I send out lots of messages too which don't get replies either and I just shrug it off and move on; a little rejection is good for keeping one humble in my opinion.

Saying that, I tend to block anyone who sends me dick pics or has all their pics set to friends only. It says it very clearly on my profile that I don't appreciate this and if someone can't take 30 seconds out of their life to read it they're not the one for me

Oh I know the issues women have on here with a certain type of men, but whatever you say about them on here isn't going to have any positive effect on them. I just don't understand the need to let the number of messages from one person build up. Surely you just block them?

Oh I'm sure it wasn't meant that way. I just think that any 'normal' person wouldn't be sending this number of messages to anyone, so there's a possiblity of mental health issues with these types of repay messagers. Let's try being kind.

Speaking as the male half of the couple I am usually one of the first ones on the forum defending guys.

However in this case it's justified criticism.

On my wife's single profile she has had many guys as described by the op.

If you ever have the chance to sit with a female friend and read her profile for a few days you will understand.

Until we started swinging we had absolutely no idea how needy men are.

Oh I know the issues women have on here with a certain type of men, but whatever you say about them on here isn't going to have any positive effect on them. I just don't understand the need to let the number of messages from one person build up. Surely you just block them? "

Blocking them is the best solution of course.

That’s what I did when I finally got onto to Fab and saw all the messages, I did it straight away.

I usually block straight away, however some of these people, I’ll say people as I’ve had a female do it too, will make a brand new profile, just to message you abuse again & again & again.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has been on the receiving end of that sort of thing. I usually block & report and continue to do so every time they make a new profile.

It got so bad at one point I hid my profile, and made my filters 98-99, and blocked every gender, couples etc from messaging for a good few weeks so they could give up.

I'll generally send a little wink to see if any interest and a message. If I hear nothing back just assume she's not interested and move on. I know guys messages get lost in the hundreds of others sent to ladies so expect less replies. Wish I was as popular lol. The curse of the single guy on fab (the fake profiles and time wasters ruin it for the genuine ones). "

Generally to someone who I’ve been chatting to before, then have just gone silent.

What’s with the copy and paste bullshit too!?

We get it all the time, some are a copy and paste and it’s actually quite amusing, I always imagine the sender saying “shit” as they realise it’s the 4th time they’ve sent the same message in the last month, the reality is they probably do know and think eventually they’ll get a response for some reason, they never do.

One guy has sent me the same massage every week for about 2 months. A really long one telling me what he wants to do to me.

It is exactly the same word for word every time and obviously copy and paste.

I just wonder how long he will carry on for.
