It is down to the person you are with.

It is entirely possible to have sex or enjoy lovemaking depending on what you both want!

Some people can't separate their emotions from a sexual act. For example some people believe they shouldn't kiss others because to them it's too personal.

I feel that sexual acts only have a feeling attached to them if you want them to. Just because I have a partner doesn't mean I can't kiss another person passionately.

I think people are able to love more than one person. I don't think it's an exclusive thing. But people often can't separate their emotions because they've been brought up to believe love is exclusive. If that makes sense.

For people who don't swing (or in some cases do) when their partner is with someone else. That for them is a complete act of betrayal because they think that sex = love. When sex only means something if you want it to.

Bit of psychology for you there. Can tell I've done relationship and sexual counselling lol.

I had that with someone I was spending lots of time with from here. We had sex like we were madly in love and it was like no other. Slow and sensual but it was incredible. I’ve had what I would call just sex on here and it wasn’t very fulfilling for more than the short term. I’ve also had some mind blowing sex that was passionate, sensual and reflected a deeper connection. In neither case would I call it making love as I’m not sure if I actually make that distinction or whether it’s simply a matter of degree. As it is I much prefer the intimate, passionate, sensual sex to the more functional. I’m unlikely ever to meet again just for functional sex.
