Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Why aren't people honest on their profile? It really gets me down when I do a search or are contacted by single guys who state they can accommodate but when you start to sort out details they can only accommodate two hours a day mid aternoon! Or the profiles that have York as their home town and after messaging it turns out they live in Leeds or even further away.

I am really not sure why they can't have correct details on their profiles because its their time being wasted swapping messages, not just mine.

Beginning to think my quest to search out single York guys is doomed to failure.

We once tried searching for single guys who could 'accommodate'. Turned out that only 1 of the 5 we contacted could really accommodate, and that was when his wife was 'out of the country'

I really doubt it. York is a small city but still have 150,000 people here so it's not that easy to pick us out in a crowd. When I did ask one guy why he'd put York but lived in Leeds he said he used to live in York and hadn't got round to changing it. York and Leeds are two separate postcodes on here so looking on one wouldn't get the other (most the time), whereas your situation is that someone could probably find you if they were familiar with the area.

I think part of it is perception. That bloke obviously thought that he can accomodate for 2 hours, so in principal he can. You clearly want more than 2 hours.

I messaged someone who had "Can travel" on their profile. We chatted and arranged a meet at my house, closer to the time she asked when I'd pick her up. I assumed because she had can travel on her account that she'd make her own way down. It wasn't a problem, I picked her up and took her home the next morning but when questioned about it later that night she replied she can't drive but she could get public transport if it was local. Now to me I wouldn't have put Can travel on my account if i was in that situation.

Yeah, I've turned down meets in nearby towns which don't have good public transport just because I don't want to be stuck somewhere without the ability to get home myself. I'm very uncomfortable having to rely on others for transport.

The location thing is understandable. I think it adds anonymity to your profile and a get out clause on case you are ever busted.

The rest is simply because lots of people

Couples and singles try to hard or feel insecure

About what they have to offer when 'pulling' (or as I say 'racking up'). People embellish or lie to get you in to bed. Sites like this help the attached get a Lil something they can't get at home.

I am super honest. No point being any other way.

I have had great meets with great people. My wife and I have made friends for life off sites like this.

Just hit the socials and clubs. That way you meet people. You can weigh them up lots more. Keep in contact through here.

Lets be Honest men and women play away from home, always have ,always will, by putting a different location helps them not to be found out. And not many people meet from one initialview of profile without first having some discussion about when and where, and if either or both dont suit then the meet wont happen. I myself dont put my exact location for the above reasons and so that work colleagues wont find out who I am either lol
