Now is it just me or is they many more fake accounts on here? Getting a bit fed up with them now! Just had a really nice attractive women getting a long well & realised she wasn’t photo verified so I sent her a message also I don’t meet anyone who isn’t photo verified & she read it then blocked me happened a few times now

Very true. A well respected and popular guy on here who isn't photo verified, said he'd never give admin his face pic due to work, verified to the hilt so we met and what a meet, wow! Some people really do value their privacy and he has a major reason for concern. Hard and fast rules don't always pay, just saying.

Not having a photo veri means nothing really. In fact any kind of veri can be fake these days. If you're unsure follow your gut instinct and move on. I cam people where possible just to check they are who they say they are

A veri pic doesn't need to show their face, it is just to prove the gender behind the profile, a full nude body pic is acceptable.

I’m not photo verified, but am verified by real life people I have met (socially or otherwise). I don’t feel the need to be photo verified, pretty sure I’m not fake though.

Pretty sure the difference between a time waster and a fake is tangible in our opinion.

The fake set up an account with the sole purpose to deceive from the get-go.

Whereas the Time Waster, for us, is the account holder that despite being who they portray to be, but for whatever reason will string out a chat and possible meet but can't follow it up. The time wasting part being that instead of stepping up to the plate, and say sorry we can't follow this up with what was agreed, they go UNLOS or Block and hide whilst allowing their victim to obliviously continue with the agreement wasting time, money and dignity.

Just our 2p's worth.

I’m not photo verified because last time I was on here it took about 4 hours and I couldn’t access the site until I was verified. I’m verified by meet and 100% not fake. If someone messaged me demanding I be photo verified, I’d block them too, just for another perspective on it.

Op all you and anyone else needs to concern yourselves with is in person verifications. Those are most important. Those type of verifications are the only real 100% proof of that person is exactly who they say they are.

Photos are all well and good but even like yours, there's no proof that's really You!

How would I and other strangers know your face pic is really you and not someone else? They're easily faked.

Meet in person is the only way to know what a person really looks like. Sure face pics are needed to consider if attraction is there. If I meet and for example you don't look like your pic, then I'll walk away. This is why I do a quick social coffee (I pay for myself), to establish mutual attraction, whether I feel comfortable in person alone with that guy and if we click.

Point is verified photos are no proof that pic is 100% that person. Before a sex meet, relying on pics alone is unwise.

I feel better meeting someone who is photo verified & if they are a fake & hey I got fooled but if I meet someone I would rather I do the following. I have seen some profiles where they don’t meet you have a verified meet

Whatever works for you, then carry on .

Long as the guy fits my profile wishes, I don't mind whether he's not verified by any method. We all started somewhere.

I see a social as just an hour spared during lunchtime. Of which I'm out anyway and it's only an hour lost if I'm stood up or he doesn't look like his pics. Both have happened to me but I carried on doing things the way I like. So far it's worked. Not as often as id like lol..but has been effective. Good luck with all.

There does seem to have been an increase in what appear to be fake profiles. Ultimately the choice is yours how you deal with them, either by using the available filters, blocking, or simply ignoring them. They can only waste your time if you allow them to.

We never got round to getting photo verified, and now it’s hardly worth bothering. Would probably be a bit put out if we were having a nice chat with someone, then they suddenly said they don’t meet people who aren’t photo verified. Well why are they wasting time chatting to us then? But we’ve never ever knowing stumbled across a fake profile and every meet we’ve ever arranged has turned up. In fact it wasn’t until I started using the forums that I discuvered there are fakes and that we’re supposed to be photo verified to be taken seriously.

Ive come across too many fake genuine profiles, more so than before.

My gripe is that there are far too many profiles set up selling adult services.

They always seem to ask for a £40-£50 contribution. Pay a friend at the door. Whats all that about?

Ive reported so many profiles to admin but i still see them pop up time and time again.

You imply that the female is fake in your post. So you're chatting away to her then realise she is not photo verified and tell her you don't meet people who aren't photo verified. What did you expect her to do get photo verified?, you are clearly telling her you don't want to meet her. So obviously her best course of action is to block you because the conversation has become pointless with no meet at the end.

You have insulted her by questioning her integrity. I would block you too if I were her

I am not photo verified, but meet verified and have no intention of getting photo verified either.

There's plenty of men on here for us females to choose from. Ones asking for money just report and admin will deal with them.

Maybe you should try checking if they are photo verified before you start chatting, instead of being a time waster and chatting then backing out on the female. We females don't like time wasters either you know! X

The site is full of them, anoyyingly when you report fake profiles, escort profiles etc admin do nothing about them but if you should send a shitty message to one of these obvious fakes and they report you admin come down on you like a ton of bricks!

When we were here in 2010 there were loads of them. It has worsened, but it is doubtful administration are creating them with pics stolen from tumblr and porn stars on twitter. It's a recipe for being sued.

Photo verifications really don't mean jack shit. All it means is the person is the gender they're claiming to be. Unless of course they got their mate of the opposite sex to hold a piece of paper with their username on.

Has anybody noticed how this "fake profile" complaint is suddenly getting a lot of airing?

Usually posted by guys (especially recent joiners) who go on and on about it, no matter how many other posters tell them to stop the whinge and sort out their filters properly?

We're not photo-verified, and given incidences of sites being hacked and/or the gutter press trawling for a story on slow news days we would never post a face pic on a site as we need discretion.

We're verified otherwise though, we only play occasionally and we don't post our veris on line. Does that make us a "fake"?

We have the distinct impression that the complainers all see FAB as a free to join knocking shop and want to know everybody they contact is up for it, then and there.

I'll bet most of them wouldn't go through the extended chat and learn about, then social meet first routine we insist on when we play. We value those people that have done that as they are worth finding and keeping as friends.

Finally and not limited to just these groups, there are many people on Fab who are "resting" from meeting and others who will actually state on their profile "not meeting, just here for the chat etc". Should they be labelled fakes and chucked off? We don't think so.

I'm not photo verified and I never will be. To me it just means the profile is the correct sex, not that they are genuine about meeting, or not a time waster.

If a guy I was attracted to told me he didn't meet women who aren't photo verified, I'd assume that meant he didn't want to take things further - but I would message to acknowledge this rather than just blocking.

If it's a deal-breaker for you OP, stick to your guns, but you might be missing out on some gems who simply value their privacy

She blocked you, that doesn't make her fake. You could always not mail anyone unless they are verified

Very true. A well respected and popular guy on here who isn't photo verified, said he'd never give admin his face pic due to work, verified to the hilt so we met and what a meet, wow! Some people really do value their privacy and he has a major reason for concern. Hard and fast rules don't always pay, just saying."

You dont have to show your face to get picture verified...
