What does this mean? I am paid to do my job therefore I am a professional, an escort is paid to do his/her job and is, therefore a professional. Likewise a footballer, a milkman, a lawyer etc etc etc. are some people trying to seem better than others? A job description is not important it is the person or persons that are important.

i take it to mean they make assumptions about what sort of person does which sort of job.Which means they are not my type of person.

And that's about the size of it.

I might edit my profile and state I am a multi-professional with more professional qualifications than you can shake a short stick at.

The thing is, I don't state I am a professional as for me it isn't relevant. It doesn't relate to what I am looking for or my preferences.

Some people don't have height preferences.... I do. It's not relevant to them, it is to me.

If people think it is relevant to state they are... it's up to them.

If people think it's relevant to state they are seeking professional people... that is up to them too.

No one is forced to contact these people.

In fact complaining about people using the word 'professional' on their profile is a bit like billy button knob complaining about people stating they are only seeking men with large cocks.

I just can’t see the relevance… coz they ain’t gonna give me their car at the end of the meet are they?

It just reminds me of a ‘cash attracts the bimbo trophy’ mentality…. which leads me to think they don’t understand the concept of mutual recreational sex.

Being professionally qualified isn't always a guarantee of intelligence.

Many professionals we've met have had a good knowledge in a single field, that field being their chosen profession.

Beyond that most haven't had the sense to piss down wind, when it comes to general knowledge and worldly wisdom they've proved to be quite dense.

In my experience people dislike requirements on someones profile which exclude them. If they state it it has relevance for them. I did have a polite gent recently who wrote to let me know that we may have more meets if we lowered our requirements. I sent him a polite reply explaining that we had as many as we want with guys who had the whole package. To his credit he returned the mail in a complimentary manner about his disappointment at not being one of them. It all amuses me. I just can't find it in me to be bothered or care about profiles I don't qualify for.

Couldn't agree more.....it's the choice of each individual member/s what to put on their profile (providing it falls within the site rules).

Horses for courses! Some people want to have sex with people like themselves. How they define that criteria is up to them largely. Do people who say they have a big cock, or big boobs, or like potential meets to be able to spell, come across as trying to seem better than others? I hope not. I assume they're just describing themselves and/or what they want. Its not their fault how others perceive that description.

Oh and just because someone is paid to do a job it doesn't make you a professional at it. Google the term if you haven't already. Nothing against milkmen, (my mum loved ours) but I don't think it can be classed as a profession can it?

I know what you mean. Well it either does or maybe they arent looking to meet. Lets face it, some dont make much of an effort on their profiles which I usually take to mean they probably dont want to meet. Either way you reap what you sow I guess.

I take it to mean someone in the field of Law, Healthcare, Social Work etc etc..someone who has to join a register that enforces their conduct in a manner that is both ethical and moral, has a professional qualification (eg a degree in Nursing) and so on...if, however, they just mean that they work in an office in whatever capacity then they are pretty much up their own backsides IMHO and trying to be socially 'better' than others...ridiculous really as this does not a 'professional' make lol

Putting all that to one side, really, who cares? It's the individuals that matter...their personalities are whats important and not their job at the end of the day...at least, thats what i think, feel free to disagree lol
