Fully expect to get flamed for this but here goes

The last 4 or 5 times we have been to chams the clientele has been almost exclusively 50+ or overweight, which neither of us finds attractive, with almost no people we want to play with. Is chams becoming a club for, for want of a better phrase, those types of swingers. I have no problem at all with them going there, but if the sorts of people we want to play with find no one attractive to them there they will stop going, as I think is happening?

Anyone else agree, or are we just going to get flamed?

Funny - we were chatting to the owners of the Club we go to, they were saying at the previous club they had, they always wanted to get a few more younger people there as many were older - only for a better balance no other reason. Now that they have their 2nd Club they have found it has many more younger people (couples and singles) coming. No reason that they could ID for it - just the way it is going.

Daren't name the club we go to for fear of being slammed down for mentioning it!!!

We have included the name in a fair few posts in the past - in an attempt to make the party bigger and better each week - or to help those who are curious about attending - or to say why we feel it is more benefit perhaps than "Failed/Timewaster" home meets.

Almost all have had comments from "some" who aren't so happy with it being named. Which is a shame.

Don't worry though, it seems ok to mention Chams

Personality is generally what we (and others) go for at clubs.

Deperates and outright perverts don't tend to have the personalties to get much fun at clubs, so those sort don't usually find what they are looking for.

We go to chams and other clubs ...... thay change each time and never the same people we find .. Chams fridays love it loads of lovely people all ages not just horny single men but loads of couples too .. I am very picky as well but what i love about the club theres no telling who your going to meet .Some of the after partys at peoples houses from the club been loads of fun . People make clubs and some just dont have the right feel can be clicky with people who go each week .. we find x

I tried to be careful not to be offensive in my original post. My point was not that certain people should not go to clubs, it was that the last few times we have been to chams there has not been the same mix of people that there used to be.

we went to chams in feb and lots of types if u know what i mean however one of my best times ever was with a not my type of guy, but boy did he make the effort the girth on that thing was all i wanted so dont always judge the type lol xxxxxx

LOL The name really is a play on many things - we prefer gangbangs to most things, an enjoy coming on here on the cam, so "Tease" A "Crowd" just fitted so well. Do not deny we would like to make good parties bigger and better - we want to include "almost" everyone.

You are right in some ways, we do promote our fav place - whats wrong with that - we do not get paid for it in any way.

Somedays we do come here and wonder :-what exactly is the point.

Most of the clubs have a similar people going. The theme nights though at Chams are good or i have found so. You are never guaranteed a perfect night but it goes for parties too.

costs approx £100 a night, and is all inclusive - drinks, quality food too.

airfare, hotel and travel will push the weekend spending to around £3-400. TBH, we could spend that at a weekend in London with a visit to F Club - Guess where we are going from now on.. and its not London.

The Dutch are hot and take care of their bods, and you get people there from all over europe too.

Well we visit chams and love the place! Then again we do fall into the older and overweight categories the op mentions.

It's all about personal preference!

Clubs will never be able to guarantee everyone a good night but we have found this one to OUR liking on the right night, if you haven't try a different club or a different night.

We go to Chams, and we're over 50 and overweight. That doesn't mean we're "despos" or any of the other insults flung around. If you don't want to play with people like us that's fine, we'd rather not have anything to do with prejudiced folk with a big opinion of themselves!

When we've been there has always been a good mix of ages and types. If you don't attract people of your own age and type we suggest you look at yourself for the reasons, rather than trying to blame others!

If you read my original post, I was not insulting, nor did I use the words despos. If you want to take the fact that I suggest that not everyone finds fat attractive as an insult, fine.

All I was suggesting is that there is not the same mix of old/young/fat/slim in chams anymore. And recent posts seem to bear this out

just so you don't have a wasted trip on sunday it will be full of fatties

i personally think that the club still has a really good mix of peeps going a fact we love it is what makes it such a great place to go although there can be the odd night you don't find what you are looking for its all just the luck of the draw

i could never slate you for waht you say as there has been the odd night we have sat there and said "oh dear its pensioners night tonight" (very tongue in cheek you understand) we have no problem with the over 50s in swinging just not our bag

it has been overheard on the BBW nights peeps moaning its fatties night again but this is just one of those things with clubs you just can't gaurentee that the place will be full of your perfect type

if you really wish to make sure that there will be more of your type there why not arrange to meet some of your type there thats what we do but then i guess filling the place with fatties is easier than filling it with body beautifulls

i kind of remember hearing of a club that vetted its members so it was more exclusive maybe that would be more your bag if its still about

We have no hang ups about who we are or our size we are US take it or leave it.

As for extreme well thats micky and diabetes may reduce yr sugar levels but the medication (metformin) has a very well known side effect namely weight gain!

i have to be honest i agree, i mainly go mondays as i work nights so have to go on the nights i dont work, it used to be a good night but i have noticed over the past months the guys have gotten older and bigger and less people are going now, not sure if its because the men arnt to their likings or something else

I went one week and as i walked upstair there was one old guy asleep on the chair

i mean come on i know we all go for our own reasons but you dont want to walk in and find old men asleep do you

To the op, we haven't been for a few weeks (about 5 or so) but prior to that we were there several weeks running and everytime we were there we commented how many "newbies" were being shown round - I'd say as a very rough straw poll, there was a really good mix, and I'd say weighted (no pun intended) towards the more younger average sized demographic.

I suspect you may have just had a run where there has been an older/larger average.

We sometimes go to the club with the intention of just watching... fortunately thats never happened yet

There always seems to be someone who we hit it off with - I guess we've just been lucky as we've met and played with some truely stunning, and lovely people - And we're no oil paintings!

I think it was a fair post as I think what the OP was saying is - can these things become self fulfilling and get into an unbreakable cycle?

I'd suggest not... just the way it goes sometimes...

Delete the words "50+ or overweight" and substitute either "Black people, Jews, the Welsh. or midgets" and you can get some idea of how insulting this thread is to the people concerned. Please have some manners and consider the others who might be reading this and could be offended. One day you'll probably be over 50 and overweight yourselves, if you live long enough!

I can't believe the abuse being thrown at the OP!

When I read the first post, I read into it that they have their preferences (unique to us all and listed on most of our profiles) but have noticed lately that Chams is less and less likely to tick their boxes.

We have been to Chams and are members but in truth we never go blind, always using it as a place to meet cpls from here.

We noticed that compared to another club nearby where you are clothed, the size of the guests was "bigger" and "older". Like the OP we never complained they were there, their money is as good as ours it was simply an observation.

I think the OP is looking for a steer, in case there are nights that favour those that are younger or take care of themselves.

P.S To which ever post claimed that using the descriptor "Overweight" and "50+" was offensive, man up! Im 30+, fact, when im 41 im 40+, fact etc!

Im a soldier so keep fit as standard and prefer people who care for their figures, but to describe someone as overweight is hardly offensive, we all know there are far crueler words in common usage.

Feel free to tear me a knew one if your offended by my post as i have thick skin and feel the OP deserves none of the harsh responses.

We've been on a few Saturdays where there have been many BBW's etc. and we think that there are some groups of BBW's who meet on specific Saturdays. Just the luck of the draw.

We've also been on nights where the place has been full of gorgeous 20's but they're all together and they vanish into provate rooms at 10:00

We prefer to meet more intimately these days, but we still rate Chams as a great club.

i think its what makes chams great....

i'm no Brad pit, and know there is nowt special about me... but then the people that go to chams have one thing more than just looks, and that is a personality.. i have chatting to a lot of people, and some at first, not really caught my eye.. but the more we chat, the attraction grows in another way.

there are clubs out there, that make you send a photo before you can join. and these clubs are ones i would avoid.. as i would hate to think i am being picked just on that basis

Depends on your perception of fat and old.

The last few times we have been (and I'm one of the original members of Chams) it has been the 'older' swinger and we haven't played, hasn't stopped us from having a cracking night though.

Swinging is what you make of it and if you are only interested in going somewhere where you are guaranteed to get lucky, host your own parties and pick your own people.

Chams (as all clubs do) changes with the seasons.

We've been on some nights where it's been mostly under 35 and the more slender of swingers. Other times it's been huge cliques everywhere and othertimes it's been crawling with single black men (this is just an example, not a dig).

So...... over the months, there should be a night for you, and for whatever your taste is.

Just stick with it and change your evenings if you can.

Otherwise, like I said, throw your own party and invite the young and the beautiful!

I go regularly to Chams and have been on all the different nights and havent really noticed the clientele being specifically older or bigger, Ive seen all types of people from all walks of life. Maybe ive been lucky because every time Ive been we have had a great night, but then as part of a couple we always do. We dont go to expect to play with others, we make the night special whatever happens, the fact we are in a swinging club is exciting for us, doesnt matter if we play with others or not.

If you want to play with a certain type of person then the only way to ensure this would be to host your own party and invite those that are attractive to you. There may be a night when Chams is full of smokers and very slim women and that wouldnt be any good for us, but we still have a great time because we are with each other so there is always someone that I find completely hot and gorgeous

The best clubs attract by far the best looking couples on the scene, but then you would probably need to go to a couples only night to see them for yourself, at the right venue.

Personally, good on anyone regardless of their size, shape and whatever for getting out there. Chams has always been a club that attracts all types of people, thats one of the things that makes it special. I would agree there are some people there who are beyond unhealthy looking, but its not for us to comment on how they got to that size or why because we dont know them personally or what kind of life they've had. Should they still go out to clubs? Hell yeah they should, if they have a good time why not, if someone doesn't want to play with them, fine, we are sure you and they will find others more to your mutually collective liking.

Hoping I haven't got the wrong end of the stick, but if you're suggesting a direct correlation with good looking people and how good the club is (ie, the better-looking the clientelle then the better the club??) I couldn't disagree more.

I've been to clubs that the people looked like they stepped out of a catwalk magazine... and many of them they were every bit as air-headed, arrogant, jumped-up, so far up their own arses they could probably taste the previous week's dinner.

I may not the be the pretty boy around, but I would oppose anyone looking down their nose at me and commenting behind my back to the owners "Why do you let ugly people in here?". Just not on.

i think its what makes chams great....

there are clubs out there, that make you send a photo before you can join. and these clubs are ones i would avoid.. as i would hate to think i am being picked just on that basis

I heard of one such club, after your picture has been deemed acceptable on the membership form there is a requirement to state your pay bracket (wtf???) and then entry on the night is in triple figures and that's just for couples! I thougt "What has that got to do with swinging??" and the person that was singing its praises claiming how the club had got it right as it keeps "riff-raffs" out. They can keep it, lol

Of course people want to go to swinging clubs to meet people they might be physically attracted to as well as socialise with. What a lot of pish! Im not offened if anyone thinks Im not for them why should anyone else be? City Slickers are a great venue. They do vet who is invited and I would highly recommend, especially if you like fit singles.

Of course skinny people can state they are beautiful, people are also free to organise a party with any criteria they wish and of course everyone can be confident. Why worry about being slated, stand your ground and be brave enough to say what you feel.

We all know that all larger ladies are not beautiful, just as all skinny ladies are not beautiful either. Being slim does not necessarily mean you are one of the beautiful crowd. It is all about confidence. I think there is a misconception that bigger ladies are not attractive as the media tells us its wrong and we should strive to be a certain size. In the swinging scene larger ladies are sticking their two fingers up to the world cos men do find them hot n sexy and they are popular and hell do they flaunt it. Good on them. But noone is stopping anyone else from doing the same.

I cant disagree with anything you say. I just think that everyone should be allowed to state preferences without people ripping into them for being honest. Im neither skinny nor large, young nor old so have no particular axe to grind. SOME people just seem to be insecure about themselves and feel it necessary to rip into others. I stand by what I say though, if you dont fit into the larger older crowd on here you cant win on this type of subject. I feel the OP was picked on just because the other posters are not the OPs type.

Ps. Personally enjoy a curvy lady although OH prefers slim. Its horses for courses. I dont critise others for their tastes and dont see why anyone needs to. Doesnt make them shallow, just makes them honest and human.

My goodness! A lot of insecure people here. Why is the OP being slated? I didn't read anything offensive in their post at all.

I'm sure if I, as an over 50 bbw had posted saying I felt uncomfortable amongst the supermodels at Chams: I didn't want to play with anyone, the thread would have taken a different tone! I'd be overwhelmed with people telling me how beautiful I am, what nights are bbw nights to meet like minded people.

I have to disagree with you. I've never been to a big club, but have been to parties and it's making me realize that the social aspect to all of this has an important place in the overall enjoyment of it for me. You don't have to have sex with everyone you meet at a party, so what matter is it what size, shape or age they are? Don't get me wrong, I'd always go for the fit looking guys because they are attractive to me, but then as a swinger I hope to stay open-minded and certianly without predujice. A xx

Personally, I go to a club to shag, not to chat, and I would be very disappointed if I travelled all the way there having bought some booze, paid to get in, then found the place was full of people I didn't find attractive. Especially as, being single, I don't have a handy partner to fall back on.

However, I guess it is just the luck of the draw. I was at Chams in May and was pretty pleasantly surprised at the gorgeous guys there. There were some enormous people there too, but I didn't play with them.

If someone is attractive to me, they might be grotesque to someone else and vice versa. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. One man's meat is another man's poison etc etc. Probably highly subjective comments regarding personal preferences are best left unsaid so as not to cause offence or anyone to feel uncomfortable with themselves.

We have gone to chams a few times now. It is a busy place and yes you do get a mixture of all types of peeps there, and thats how it should be. End of the day you chat and play with people that interest you. We have always found there is always enough people there for everyone to have fun.

A valid concern from your own point of view, but you've also said it yourself.., if you don't find the sort of people you fancy at Chams, then simply stop going.

Swinging is a huge melting pot of all sorts of types and preferences. You'll be hugely mistaken if you assume that the type of swingers you fancy, will be fancied by everyone else. So, while you'll be happy for Chams to be filled up by people you fancy, so you can have your pick.., it'll mean many other people will have the same feeling as you do now, because your type wouldn't be their type.

Personally, I've found Chams to be a mix of all shapes, sizes and ages. If you can't find what you seek, then search elsewhere. Or make prior arrangements with the type of people you like to meet up with you there. Simples xx

As you can select age group here on Fab it may have been more prudent to say people not in our selected age group or preferred body type for contact/play.

In this day and age if you're specific in your statements regarding size, age etc people can and will take the hump. It only takes one individual to feel offended for it to course a problem.

I have looked at City Slickers site the one mentioned earlier and it may fit the requirements that are sought, however, if they should reject you how will you then feel?

Everyone has the right to talk to, meet and play with who they want and should never be forced to do the opposite.

But in the same vein we shouldn't upset by word, deed or mouth either.

as usual the general people of fab dont actually read and respond to anything they think they might have read.

With regards to your preferences whats wrong with that? we all have them, unless you dont care who you shag.. (there are a few of those type about thou)..

Perhaps the best option would be to message a number of couples on your friends list, or those that may suit for a meet n greet at a club. least that way, there will be some people of interest to you.

Club nights are very hard to fathom - sometimes u meet loads of your type, sometimes u meet none..

just to bring the thread back to the OP here as i seems to have gone a bit off track!!

its not the term overweight i personally had a problem with it was things like 'those kind of swingers' and 'i have no problem at all with them going there' (btw - so glad you dont have a problem as i kinda like going there

The thing about clubs no two nights are the same that's what I enjoy one night could be nice and chilled. Another night plenty of people to choose from variety. But I have never known a bad night at chameleons.
