Anyone here ever tried cottaging? I've stumbled across one and very intrigued and tempted. Interested to hear stories good and bad. Also folks opinion.

Thanks to the sensible responders and to the one that sent a very hot p.m. It seems some folk here get a kick out of putting smart ass comments on posts. May I suggest that you get out more, perhaps then you might have something interesting to post.

"

No - that makes you a "cotter" - originally someone who cut and split wood...

Anyone want their wood taken care off...?

God, that must have been terrible, given his job and the way stories spread around a school.

I know someone in my hometown who got done for it over 20 years ago. Big figure in the area and you can tell people still think of that when they see/talk about him.

So maybe too risky then but is dogging any less so?

I don't know of any public toilets that would be only used by consenting adults. Councils close down the less used, remote ones. There aren't any in my local park, and they would be used by children anyway.

It's probably died through council cuts.

"So maybe too risky then but is dogging any less so?"

You'll get risks with both, but I think having sex in a public toilet is more risky.

You can be pulled over and arrested by police while out dogging, as they patrol areas.

In a public toilet you may approach someone who doesn't want the attention and get arrested.

Just because "cottage" sounds a bit more alluring than "minging public bogs that stink of p*ss" I've always assumed

I was in the gents in work on one occasion which were a bit pokey when a senior manager walked in and said, "It's a bit small for cottaging here isn't it"

"I know what it is, but could never work out why it called cottage, any ideas guys ?"

Because a lot of the toilets that were built in remote areas of woodland, or close to parks were built out of stone and so resembled cottages. Most have been closed down or demolished now and replaced with modern ones which bear absolutely no resemblance to a cottage.

I used to go back in the 80's when I was travelling up and down the country with my job. Obviously we used to have look out who would let us know if any families or children were about to enter, whereupon all activities would cease until normal service was resumed

Yes, that makes sense now, thanks.

So we'll have to rename it, hehe

What's the legality on it? I got told by a Pcso it's ok if the cubicle is locked?

Why am I asking here? Do I trust forum people on a swingers site more than a pretend policeman with minimal training?

There's a public toilets in stafford that is/was well known for it.

So much so the town centre cctv spent ages watching who went in and out.

Rather than looking for muggers and violent d*unks.

Can you imagine how scary it is for kids or women to try and go in a loo to find a group of men hanging around.

West Midlands

the council in a nearby town to us effectively opted to close down a number of public loos due to this, they felt it better to deprive people of toilet use than have them subjected to the prospect of this.
