The main thing is if you're giving oral don't do it if you have any sores in your mouth. This could be from biting your tongue, ulcers or cuts.

There is always a risk as with anything but a bit of common sense goes a long way.

For us, a condom is mandatory for penetrative sex, but wouldn't use for oral as sucking on a condom (or being sucked with one) is a complete turn-off.

Yes, there are risks but they are small and if the worst happens, the sort of things you are likely to get via oral are treatable.

We also get naked, where obviously skin-on-skin contact can spread STI's. Same rationale as oral.

Vaginal/Anal sex is a completely different kettle of fish which is why we would insist on condoms for that.
