Because it makes them feel better about themselves if they can put you down on the way out the door.

You know if you can't rise above then push the others down type philosophy.

It's bollox and their own insecurities talking. Just simply block and move on.

We have lady friends that if they choose to reply 'no thanks' now automatically block after they have replied so they don't have to put up with that shit. Don't let it get you down.

In seven years I've never received such a message. When visible I have on my profile I won't reply to anyone outwith what I'm looking for, and I dont, simply delete.

I don't get guys who do that sort of thing. He obviously fancied you and wanted to meet you. Before you turned him down he didn't see you as a "fat bitch". Did he think after calling you a fat bitch you were suddenly going to say "Oh I made mistake I really want to meet you"?
