When I was on here a while ago, there seemed to be a large numbers of biker folk, not noticed any this time round. By biker, I don't mean the guys who own a motorbike and ride it out on dry and sunny Sundays!

Where are you all guys? Come out and say "Hi"

They're all out and about with ridiculously loud stupid exhausts to obviously make them look 'tougher' whilst they disobey most of the highway code and give drivers arseache because they didn't see them tearing round that corner at 98 fucking miles an hour...

So many idiots on bikes these days...

Checking in

We both ride actually, L is the only girl I've dated with a full unrestricted license.

She doesn't have a bike at the moment, ive got an old Thundercat.

Used to get ridden literally every day, but recently I've not been on so much since I had to store it away from home.

Love going out just because we can.

I bought by accident. I had a car that I didn't need and wanted a motorcycle. I found this deal a swapped the car for the thunderace. I can say now that if it was not because Juliet refuses to ride as a pillion for more then 15 minutes due to uncomfortable riding position, I would not sell.

I love the bike and this one looks amazing.

Myself and L got the cat out of retirement this week. Little day off jaunt up to Kilburn white horse, perfect view, some big likes on instagram for a nice pic of us laid on the grass at the top, cheeky pint of cider on the way back. Magic.

Finding my riding legs again, havent been getting out nearly as often as i should be. I used to ride every single day for about 2 years but after my last hit and run i got a bit less keen. Not so much because of the accident but because i regretted my choice of replacement leathers. Not especially weatherproof despite their fancy branding. Felt really rusty on the way out. On the way back i was back to my old self :D

You lucky bastard.

First "Proper" bike i ever rode, my little brother had a black one and he made me ride it to convince me i could like bikes, id never shown much interest before then.

Booked my CBT the next day. I fucking loved that bike.

Was rather hoping that when i got my full license he would "Graduate" to a bigger bike and id inherit the NC30 but sadly a pair of scrotes put pay to that idea by stealing it from outside his girlfriends house and popping it.

VFR400 NC30 here too. Rode it down to Cornwall and back over the weekend. Great ride down, nice weather and Dartmoor was a lot of fun. Ride back was very wet (just rain sadly!) and miserable. Still drying out my gear.

Had bikes since age 12, DR'd in London for around 10yrs, Now run a one man operation from my workshop servicing & repairing bikes of all makes & ages. Currently working on 900Diversion,ZX9R,RS250,YZF750. Own bikes are, CBX750F, BMW K100RS 4v & my project Suzuki TL1000S (my third, I love them)

Still prefer out & out sports bikes for Sunday fun but the Beemer takes me to Europe most years and took me for a 1700 mile weekend trip to the Highlands without so much as an aching muscle.

North East England

Was a biker who used bike all year for work for years, but just a weekend warrior now, although not with pristine colour coordinated leathers and I still always filter to the front of every queue. What the fuck is it with sunshine bikers who wait in traffic as if they were driving a car? Maybe they are just in no hurry.

Downgraded sports bike for Honda Africa Twin a few years ago now

Commute on old beemers k100rs and r1100rt. Put a sidecar on the brick when my daughter was born in 1994. Long time since "the wife" went pillion but used to cover a lot of miles when we were younger. And you can have as many lights ad possible on the bike but if the motorist isn't looking they ain't gonna see you. Treat all other road users as complete idiots and you generally won't be wrong.

Give me that with either thensuper charger kit somone designed or bumped up to 1000cc and id be a happy man.

Nasty

Bit harsh

With good reason

Sadly

OK, we have never chatted to the best of my recollection and I don't see what is nasty about my thread. And I can't ask you in pm, as you have blocked me."

I agree it's a good thread, there is a Harley Davidson shop in our town, it's brilliant to see bikers arriving for conventions ect on their beautiful pristine bikes. Most bikers are caring folks who look after their own. They are not nasty and neither is OP or this thread. X

Female biker ?? I am surprised and shocked by some of the hateful comments on here. I don't ride like a nutter. It is NOT illegal to filter and we do not all behave badly. I spend a lot of time doing charity ride outs and fundraisers - as do most bikers. We just don't shout about it.

Mark you I've had to swap the BMW for a scooter to zip through the Colchester traffic to work. Going to miss the cc's ??

Must be something in the Essex water as I know almost as many female bikers as male ones, riding bikes from tiddlers to Blades.

I used to be a biker, but two wheels had to give way to practicality. Miss those days though every time I see them out and about, especially when they're riding in groups, I miss the camaraderie of it, and the sense of being part of something bigger than any individual.
