Is dogging dead?

So I know the weather plays a massive part but do you guys think dogging is dead or is it just dead in the North West?

I've visited quite a few dogging 'hotspots' only to find it empty, full of guys or kids that have just passed their driving test!

I'm guessing that the internet means much more pre planned stuff happens rather than people just converging in one or two locations.

I used to be kind-of plugged into the East Midlands dogging scene quite a few years ago. On occasions I have dropped by in recent times.

It was completely different to how it is these days. Back then it was a little community of sorts, with a fairly laid back vibe to it. These days, the doggers that are out seem a lot louder and more entitled, follow any couple in a car like sheep and it all feels less, 'friendly'. In addition, the local sites are full of boy-racers frequently wheel spinning around and shouting abuse.

I think the scene I remember was killed off by two things - 1) The media getting wind of it all, some celebs caught doing it, dogging often used in plots in comedies, local sites suddenly becoming 'infamous' etc. and 2) The advent of a LOT of swingers clubs, which simply weren't available as much back then.

Clearly some people still enjoy the outdoor thing, and I suspect there are a lot of meets arranged on places like this.

In terms of exhibitionist couples going to car parks. That too, still happens (it must, otherwise the scene would die), but it really isn't quite the same as in the past IMO

Great reply. Pretty much how I've found it. I tried it years ago when I was younger and trying it now is a completely different scene.

cahoots

We haven't knowingly visited recognised dogging spots but often just pull over when the mood takes us. Sometimes it's just us but we have also attracted an onlooker or two who have always been well behaved as I guess it was more of an unexpected treat.

Dogging is not dead, but whilst sometime erotic, its become very dangerous to - just be careful - the police are always trawling the net for activity and then visiting known sites - and the wannabe thugs set out to spoil the fun are another set of trouble

pretty much so - the poor overstretched Police seem to have no problem continually patrolling the old hotspots - and only ever feature gay men or boy racers nowadays in any event - couples disappeared about 3 or 4 years ago at least.

Wouldn't say dogging is dead but its a fraught affair. Gone are the days where we would visit a location and have fun with people and all for reasons already stated. We only do prearranged meets at safer locations. Though these meets are few and far between.

For us there's a gap in the market for those that enjoy outdoor fun. A discreet, savvy land owner that has a remote plot somewhere could set something up and charge a nominal fee, we would gladly pay for the use of such a spot for meets.

Dogging has gone to shit for the 'normal' couples that still have some self respect. Now dogging spots are full of boy racers, green laners and skanky Women that will bareback anyone with a pulse.

10 - 15 years ago it was brilliant. There were actually guys under 50 that didn't look like tramps and had some respect for you.

There are still a few active spots around, but all the main places from years ago are dead, and spoilt by Boy Racers/Police and Druggies

Well I'm glad we aren't up your way !

Anyone can see from our veris that what you describe is far from the case .

We arrange to meet people from fab at outdoor dogging spots . I guess we aren't traditional doggers in that sense , as they are the only ones we play with .

We certainly have self respect , and Sabrina sure as hell doesn't bareback anyone at all other than myself , never mind anything with a pulse .

As for them all being over 50 and like tramps , as I said , feel, free to check our veris . That's far from the case .

Maybe you have a better quality of dogger at your car parks, but in Nottingham they are mostly foul mouthed tramps that love to stand around in cliques, while proclaiming loudly about all the 'pussy' they have had. As for 'your' verifications, we also arrange to meet 'decent' guys on here - to meet us outdoors - but we occasionally we try to relive our spontaneous past (trampy old doggers always ruin it though)

At least they are easy to spot though, as they are usually driving some fucked mid 90s shit box with the number plate bulbs taken out

Used to love it. Wouldn't dare now - last few times almost ended in fights with aggressive chavs.

Oh, and as someone else mentioned above - the underfunded police seem to spend a lot of time patrolling. Easy prey i guess.

Some positive responses but mainly looks like prearranged dogging is the future.

Takes some fun out of it for couples, I'm guessing, but then again, I suppose you can choose who watches/joins in!

I love this idea - anyone in the Northwest who is a farmer / other land owner with a suitable 'private land' area?
