wonder how folk work out ages wanted for meets, most i look at are for up to 45, omg at 47 is there no hope for me age dont really count dont you think, heck you could go for a 20 year old thats past it.

I believe it's called "personal choice", though I'm sure others can elaborate.

I'm not sure there's an equation. Actually for us there is, it goes like:

IF potential = older THAN parent OR younger THAN child THEN result = NEGATIVE

It's not about being past it. There are so many single guys on Fab that single ladies and couples seeking single guy can pretty well pick and choose exactly what they're after - not just age, height, smoker or not but right down to hair/ eye colour, fullset or clean shaven, tattoos or not, roundhead or cavalier and so on.

Age criteria, love it, everyone should have one, ours is 19 - 97, which means if we find someone attractive we are willing to play with them, thier age means nothing to us.

Many think different and this is great too, you have to do what you feel comforatble with.

All of those who have strict age criteria ie 25-35 or 35-45 or 18-30 etc, we love you for being honest, we enjoy watching you walk round a swingers club asking people's ages, getting in the jacuzzi and playing but only after checking the age of the person you find attractive in there.

We love the people who mail us (more than 10 a day) who have age criteria that is anything up to 20 years below my age or like the one today 7 years above Sasha's age.

Yes have your age criteria but stop being hypocrits and stay within those age limits or admit that it not the most important factor and that just once in a while the age isn't important.

And if your going to have an age criteria on your profile and me or Sasha don't rest within it, stop mailing us your timewasters because we dont meet anybody whose age criteria we dont match.

I'm sorry!!! As one who has an age criteria, it is as a guide only, as I am not looking for teenagers and I am not looking for the elderly either!

I do judge on chemistry and how well I get on with someone, if I had an age limit as 18-99 I would be inundated with emails, so I choose to be fussy, it is ones' perogative as they say!!

Totally accept what your saying Foxy Minx, but when I get a mail from someone with a max age criteria of 35 I cannot help thinking that they are just putting up with me because they like the look of Sasha, last boy picked for the playground footie team - someone has to have him.

Most don't have our age difference so it doesn't apply to others as much as it does us, thats why I understand your point of view and everyone else, I just wish people would understand our point of view after all, everything I have said above is written on our profile.

It's fairly obvious is someone is the younger than your kids, or the same age/older than your parents.

Doesn't matter if you are in a club or not.... there are those of us that have an age limit in place through choice.

I must go and see what we have on our profile - my partner created our profile and im not sure what he wrote on there in relation to ages.

We are not bothered by age as such, but we do have a preference for our own age. I have played with young guys at a club and from those experiences I found them a little too rough with my lady bits to be honest. They seemed to go with the "push your fingers in as far as you can and then go as hard and rough as you can" approach. I like it gentle. Of course I cannot class all young men the same, but its just been my personal experience.

the other thing about young men is that as a woman of 42 and my body is not exactly resembling Angelina Jolie's, I find myself feeling a little out of my league, especially if the guy is absolutely gorgeous. Which is why with a younger guy i always find myself saying, im old you know, ive a tummy and my boobs tend to go south rather than north etc etc, just so they dont expect too much. but then again, i have pics on here, people can see what my body is like, and if im in a club, then my lingerie is not exactly covering much up so i guess they know what they are in for. I just feel a little less confident with the gorgeous youngsters.

Ok, in your situation I do get where you are coming from, but maybe your view should not have been posted as people with an age criteria are timewasters, that was what got my goat as they say! Probably comes' under the heading of read my profile...and only message if you have done so....I quickly pick up on people who say they wont meet smokers if they contact me lol

And as how other posters have said it is a preference....

Foxy Minx I did not say that people with an age preference are timewasters, I said that such people contacting us when we are clearly outside of thier age criteria are timewasters, that is a undeniable fact, they are wasting our time contacting us when we are often 10, 15, 20 years outside what they are looking for, our profile says we won't meet them, simple as that. I posted in the hope that some people will see the other side of having an age criteria, ie that it is a good thing to have but at least respect others that are not in it, we average a dozen mails a day from such people.

I am with you there, fit young boy, flabby old woman, its because we are not comfortable with ourselves/bodies. I was chatting to a 28 yr old on here, he wanted to meet me, i checked his profile out, nice 6 pack mmmm i would feel like the michelin tyre figure next to him just pointless

Unfortunately we all know that people do not read profiles, they see the pictures, think phwoar i want some of that and send a message, hence i also get some out of my age range (though i do only have it as a guide too)

Agree with the parent and child formula, but then again I have no kids and the youngest of my parents is 63 so I can't say it limits me too much...
