Not to be funny, but why do you need a female?

It sounds a little... loaded, to be honest.

Because all clubs i've been to have a female involved, they know whats what regarding kitting out the club & also men & women won't be intimidated to come to the club if there is a female to greet them.

Just my opinion. Its in a great location with great potential so it will be god to start on the right note ! Also thinking about fitting a Jacuzzi in there too.

How about visiting some clubs to see what works and not, as part of your feasibility/bench-marking process?

I think there is a lot more you need to do before hiring a meet and greeter.... like seeing if the Councul will allow you to alter the use of the premises (I assume) you have.... seeing as you are onl;y at the 'thinking about' stage.

I don't think where it is matters. I think the point Pearl was making was... visit a few well established clubs with good reputations and see what it is they do... rather than going to one dive and thinking it's easy to beat that.

People will travel a LONG way for a good club. Takes us over 2 hours to get to Chams in Darlaston and we love it there so much we don't even want to try any of the local ones.

I think the idea of visiting a few well established clubs with good reputations (and stealing their good ideas) is an excellent one but there's no need to aspire to be better than a club a couple of hundred miles away straight off.

Not everyone is willing or able to travel long distances - even for the best experience.

Initially being better than any club within a 30 mile radius, then a 50 mile radius, then 100 miles and so on ought to be the plan, using any profits derived to build on and improve the venue/ experience.

Lots now have jacuzzies and pools at home .. one time was good to find that now people looking for others things too not just the pole on the dance floor not just the hot tub its people who make clubs and getting the right mix , With out it being clicky i can say only one thats not is chams ,, Some other ones i have been too have clicks even in the play rooms for there friends Only can look yukk but if under 35 get in ,, lol should not be like that ...... had that at one club lol some clubs just dont have what it take to get people there every week ,, some are dead ....and only good on a night a site partys on ..... so you need a mix of things to make a swing club work and alot of luck. jo xxx

I wonder if the OP even knows how many clubs and established party venues there are within a 30 mile radius.

When starting out it is unlikely you will be better than the best... but you have to offer something worth going to... and in many cases better or different to the places people already go... or why would they change haunts.

Ok well apologies for my initial scepticism (forums can do that to you..).

I can speak from experience only with fetish clubs, but don't try and be better, try and offer something different.

In my experience, recent, club antichrist has risen very very quickly due to the nature of it's musical and live / entertainment content vs other fetish clubs - my point being that it's become popular due to something not even related to fetish!

I believe, with all the more liberal sex-related programmes on TV in the past few years, it is becoming more acceptable for peeps to visit and set up clubs.

However, there will always be those stuffy minded peeps who do not want such clubs in their doorstep so to speak!

Plenty of clubs in and around London that aren't that hard to get to.

Go see them, see which ones are busiest, see what you would change.

Unfortunately, many new swinging clubs fail because they get it totally wrong and because people WILL travel to the cleanest and the best clubs.

Chameleons, as a case in point, has people travel from all over the world to go and on a weekly basis, people from Ireland and Scotland make the drive.

If you really want a female to help, then I might suggest that you are in the wrong business. If you are a swinger, with a club swingers mind, then you should know what you need.

Cant say, but for fetish, *noone* beats the brits, seriously. They know how to look fantastic, and have fun doing it - most other countries manage one or the other.

I would also try not to alienate other club owners by thinking you can do better because you think their club maybe rubbish

Some club owners have a very healthy respect for each other and can be a great help to each other

Why "beat" anything?

By setting that as a target, you set yourself up for failure by a) alienating people who like the place you want to beat and b) looking pompous.

I mean, you wouldn't set a profile saying "We are so much better than (insert well known forumite name)" would you?

Better to be yourself, be nice, open a club that feels welcoming. After all, what happens if on your first night 200 people showup looking for "the chams beater" and then 189 decide "well it really wasnt".

Unfortunately, in a swinging club, everything has to be washable, easily removed and replaced and cleanable in the 8 hours that the club is shut (not forgetting that there are 3 cleaners, 7 nights a week, scrubbing the 3 storey club down in 8 hours, not including backwashing the jacuzzi's.....)

Of course most good and clean clubs err on the side of sleazy....... vinyl, plastic leatherette and dark carpets and walls will do that to a place.

HI

were you actually asking for advice on a new club or just a lady to help be involved?

if its the lady good luck i am sure you will got some one from here messaging you

if its advice --- so many different tracks you can go down! we were talking about this the other night and we came to the conclusion that every swinging cpl thinks they know how to run a successful swing club - truth is we all want different things so its finding your market and appealing to that

on a personal basis we really dont like Chams, but we do like other clubs

and i think an earlier post was spot on when they said to you dont try and copy but try to be different - xtasia, chams, la chambre, liberty's are all good examples of clubs who share their memberships but people go to them for different reasons.

good luck and hope it works for you xxxx

Just a thought and I'm not trying to trample on anyone's strawberries here but what happened to that £40-£50,000 licence that was being talked about for swingers clubs?

Because that could put a big hole in the profits if it's true.

Hey hold on a sec, ahem, guys can have good taste as well..... All chosen for them by a good woman pmsl.

I have not been to a club so can only summize. I think a club should be a place where you look to socialize and if you hit it off then all well and good. If you don't then you should be able still to have a good night. Its not about just sleeping with anyone its about sleeping with the right ones and that doesn't have to be the best looking the best body etc its the ones you click with and find sexy.

Its about quality not quality and love it or hate it women have the better taste in furnishings or gay men

"Why "beat" anything?"

Except for the drum for their particular club / tribe. (again)

I think it gets a bit counter-productive for a club when its followers are so zealously beating the drum for it...it's like the swinging equivilent of Jehovahs Witnesses at times on some of these threads.

Back on theme, and the point has been made that "something different" may be a good idea. There are plenty of swingers clubs based on a sauna / spa theme, plenty on a nightclub theme...so everyone's been there, done it, etc.

A trip to Munich took me to a club that's based on the old horny porny cinema theme. Except that this had CLASS! Clean, tidy, (well it is in Germany lol) and presentable. Plenty of couples, and single guys there too, a licenced bar, and waitress service, plush seating, areas reserved for couples only, and none of the sleeze or the "dirty old men" that the old style porn cinemas are renown for. It could be an alternative?

"money is no object in setting it up !"

Good, because nothing looks worse than a place with shitty furnishings from B&Q that look kinda similar to proper commercial fittings (like tables and barstools, or showers etc). There's a reason the commercial stuff costs 3 times more than the B&Q/Screwfix lookalike stuff, and that's because it doesn't fall apart after 3 months and make your new place look like a cheap shithole.

So, whatever your budget is, triple it now!
