Bad accommodating experiences

We're considering accommodating when the kids aren't here as we'd like to expand our play options.

Being a fairly imposing chap, I'm not particularly concerned, but Becky, naturally, worries about weirdos. They'll have our address and it blurs the line between our swinging personas and 'real life'. With that said, we're both content to give it a go.

Have you had any bad experiences as a direct result of accommodating? How would you guard against the same thing happening in future, while still accommodating? Any tips for us?

We accommodate at our home, but this is usually after we have chatted for some time, and we are sure they are not weirdos. Maybe meet for a social first just to be sure.

We have not had any bad experiences as yet x

We have had a few meets all been good at our place.We find vetting people works. That with your own judgement around the person.

Stuff like facetime are key. That and a good chat before hand having clear instructions expectations and when you expect them to leave.

We tend to accommodate the majority of the time as it's easier than travelling all over the place. We have 2 kids so our meets are generally planned in advance with plenty of time to sort out childcare and also gives plenty of time to get to know the person or persons involved. We have had a few last minute meets where they have come to ours due to a last minute drop out but if its ever a last minute thing it's with someone that has to travel an hour or more and not someone local that way if they are a bit dodgy it's more of an effort for them to travel miles out of their way back over to where we live haha. So far all meets have been good fun and never regretted inviting anyone we have played with in to our home so we have been lucky

Over the 11 years in here we’ve only had one experience that wasn’t great. The meet itself went perfectly but was 2 weeks later when the guy chapped the door and my 12 year old daughter answered. She came and got me and I almost died when I saw him. He needed water for his screen wash apparently but the direction his car was facing he would have driven past the fuel garage half mile up the road as there’s no turn off junctions. He swiftly got told to do one and was blocked on fab

Also J is a very imposing character being 6 foot over 16.5 stone of lean muscle (generally gets more comments off of the males that come round to play than me haha) so i always feel pretty safe with whoever comes round. He also gets me to chat to any males for atleast a couple of weeks to feel them out then all decisions are down to me where as with a couple we both make the decisions.

That is crazy! Just randomly turning up what was he expecting to happen! 100% ruined his chance of any future potential meets haha

I would have to know anyone I met on here very well before I let them know where I live. If it looks like things will progress and accommodation would be needed then I'd stump up for an AirBnB or hotel.

That's exactly why I would never let them know where I live. When my daughter's are with me it's not uncommon for the eldest to be in on her own and whilst she knows not to answer the door, some nutter lurking in the bushes doesn't bare thinking about.

I wouldn't have anyone in my home who I've not met several times however that's just me. I understand why others do. I also wouldn't really want to go to someone else's home these days either. Hotels all the way

Never had any bad experiences but that’s not to say it won’t happen

I’m sure if you’re an imposing chap then that’d be enough to put them off

Wherever I lay my hat

As a single woman living alone I would accommodate. I lived in a block of flats with video entry, functioning cctv and there were invariably neighbours in the block that would have come to my aid if needed. I never had any problems but if I lived in a house in a suburban street I probably would have behaved differently. And if I had children living with me some, or all of the time, then I would 100pc meet elsewhere

You never know who's a weirdo...even the apparent "nice" ones can turn.

I will never accommodate again with anyone due to an experience that ended up with the police being involved and a court case.

I'd trust no-one with my address especially if my children lived there.

My advice is do not host until you know people, then it is like having friends around.

There are way too many weirdos, fakers, and chancers out there. First meets I would suggest neutral grounds.

Even when you "know" them things can turn and go wrong....my experience was with a guy I knew for over a year!
