The second part of the question is easy to answer: first take (although it took a while to actually set up the shot - I was distracted 😏). Second part is much harder to answer. No direct inspiration, but I’ve always been drawn to the use of mirrors in photography because they can create a sense of indirect observation. There’s a photo in our private gallery that explores the same idea in a different way, focus on the foreground, but the real interest is in the background and out of focus. I’ve always found this kind of image attractive, alluring, erotic, interesting… I guess it piques all kinds of curiosities Xx

Best present for me was an original drawing by my favourite artist. I have no clue how Ailsa got it, but it’s absolutely treasured. For her… I’m not sure and she isn’t here at the moment to ask. I can say, with true husbandly humble pride, that I’ve bought her some wonderful gifts. Ailsa has a lot of diverse interests, so she’s easy to surprise with something that makes her squeal with delight

Yes and no. I miss the discipline of it and the joy it brings (self and others)

I don't miss breaking toes so often they are simply an occupational hazard to het on with, being chastised for eating and the stupidly long hours.

Or the long term result of having feet that would put the gruffalo to shame.

Still, in an unguarded moment its one of hubbys fav things when he catches me forgetting where I am and I revert to a pirouette in the kitchen

When I was 18 my friends gave me a boxed han solo and they had covered it in their craft work to make the box with specific advertising for me. It was really thoughtful and funny. I felt very seen, cared for and considered.
