I won't have bareback sex with anyone I'm unfamiliar with.

I was a lot more promiscuous in my thirties and clocked up a few STIs in quite a short period - Ghonnnorea, chlamydia twice, NSU and some weird rash called molluscum that needed to be frozen off my ballsack every week for three months!

I'm grateful that was it; my lack of responsibility could have been far worse.

Typically only high when not used correctly. People can be pretty clueless when it comes to their use. I know someone who works in a GUM clinic and the misuse stories are pretty eye opening. From rubbing the spermicide off them then playing bare bc they think they're sorted to reusing them.

Other times it's to do with expiration dates, incorrect storage, incorrect application ect. The data still says that when used correctly they are 98% effective. Female condom 95%, diaphragm 92-6 if used correctly.

Out of all the barrier methods they're still the best.
