Thought we’d take advantage of some cheap flights to spend a weekend in Hamburg and check out the German swinging club scene. Identified a couple of prospective clubs on Google… decided on a visit to Club Equinoxe as they were advertising an over 40s party. Smart dress their website said (using Google translate). Apparently my £150 suede black Chelsea boots were not smart enough, so they refused entry. Tried to sell us another pair of plastic shoes for €30. Seems like they only want “pretty people” to partake in a “fashion parade” not be naked swingers, fucking and having fun. We won’t ever make an attempt to return. We did hit another club, Google and its website said it was open, it wasn’t. Eventually we found a genuine swingers club after spending about €100 on taxi’s. We had a good time, but this seemed to be in spite of the Germans who were in the club, largely drinking and chatting amongst themselves. The most unfriendliest of swingers experiences we’ve had anywhere so far on our swinging journey. Germany may well be off the table for further trips!
