Just wondering! is it true once you get to 40 you lose count of how old you are? So instead you just make up a around about number for your age. Just wondering thats all.

I've lost count, but know I've had 2 more birthdays since my 40th so can usually work it out.

Either that or I look at my own profile, as that's all true then the age must be right....

"Real age hear, don’t see the point in lying as you’ll only get caught out. It’s just a number anyway "

Yep. It's just a number.

So of you're actually 40 bit have spent too much time in the sun for hears and have a leathered look about you, have hereditary male pattern baldness and started going grey at 25 then nobody will believe you anyway and assume you're 50.

Likewise if you're a baby faced 50 year old who puts their real age people will question is it accurate.

Of course some fib to get round filters and age preferences. Equally some add or subtract a single year to distance their Fab profile from their real life.

I've said often enough. In a swinging club nobody asks your age. In the real world when attempting to pull in a bar or nightclub how many people ask for photo ID ?

Some are adamant than any deviation on a profile from the exact date you dropped from your mother's womb is a shocking offence and that those guilty should be tarred, feathered and hung from Tower Bridge. Others just gloss over the fine details, raise they're physically attracted to the photos they see and aren't looking for a long term life partner and don't give a hoot if someone is 13 months older than their stated Fab age.

Is mine accurate? Nope. I've never hid that. Given Fox's age I don't need to change it to get round filters. It's just to be more discreet.

Do I look the stated Fab age. Yep. Actually on occasion I'd get away with a lower number, so there's hardly any deception. Has anyone we've ever met cared? Nope.

So long as someone looks the age they've stated we'd never ask for a passport, driving licence or for their parents to contact us to confirm their date of hatching.

We're more bothered when someone fibs about their cock size than their age.

The problem with lying is when you get to a meet and look visibly different to your photos, will you then get upset if you were to get called out on it

Ah! Yes! Fab. That strange place where the inches grow yet the years shrink all by themselves.

My age (and every other detail) is 100% correct. Might be me being naive but when I filled it in it never occurred to me to tell porkies!

I was was going to write something similar but then thought on, it might be their loss but it's also our loss as we've missed out. Hence why people lie about their age.

It’s not really their loss though, I always find it odd when people say that. Guys say it a lot when I say no thanks. They want people of a specific age and that’s fine. It’s nobody’s ‘loss’. They just aren’t suitable for you or you for them.

Right? I suppose people get hurt, so tell themselves a comforting lie, but why? Someone preferring under 40s is like someone preferring redheads - nothing I can do about it, good luck to you.

Sex is not a right, and people are allowed to like what they like.

I've never understood the "it's their loss" attitude.

It's only a loss if they are missing out on something they actually wanted in the first place.

I've been told that it's my loss when I've said no to demanding couples. It was hilarious because they were the ones contacting me regardless of the fact that I was outside their own age preferences.

There was nothing in their profiles I found attractive and even less in their entitled introductions so at no stage did I ever feel I was missing out.

My fab age is the same as my real age because apart from anything else I'm proud of how I look and even though 60 is rapidly approaching it doesn't put people off.

If you lie about your age, what else are you lying about?"

Exactly this!

Recently I had a social meet with a man who swiftly told me upon meeting him that he is actually 10 years older than what his fab age says!

Totally ridiculous, if I wanted to meet a 59 year old, I would have my filters set to allow upto that age range!

It was a waste of time as it clearly wasn't going anywhere.

Is it just me that feels lying any sort on here be it age, marital status just to get a meet is a bit... well the word we aren't allowed to write but it begins with R & ends in E

It's gaining sex by false pretences your gaining consent by giving false information so therefore don't really have consent & please don't come at me saying it may just be for a social and if they consented after a social it's different because it's not, you may not ask someone's age in a bar, but if you've set up a profile with a wrong age deliberately you've gone out of your way to deceive the person you're meeting

I know it's not as bad as physically forcing yourself on them but honestly think about it, why lie, especially those claiming their age is only out by a year, what are you gaining by these lies, it feels really seedy

So this year I’ve caught up.. I’m genuinely 50.. definitely a red line for some on their age filters which I’ve now dropped off of.

There’s no way I’m putting my REAL date of birth on a random fuck site!! But I always catch up eventually!

Same here, I have a "fake" DOB I use that has me 3 weeks younger for sites that really don't need my actual DOB. No point lying about ages, if you both turn up and one is a good 10 years out, the other is gonna go home! And fibbing about height is daft too. We had a decade roll over year this year

It's a bit awkward age wise for us asa there's a ten year gap. Much below her age and I start to get uncomfortable with being too young and much above mine and she gets uncomfortable. Plenty of room in the middle ground mind.

Our rule of thumb is if someone is young enough they could be your offspring or old enough your parents then that's not comfy.

Many people might not know their exact height & curvy is a description not a factual statement, but yes I do think people should be honest with their images and size, I have photos of myself as a size 10 but I don't have them on here as I don't look like that anymore, if I did show my slimmer images it would be suggesting that's the version of me they'd be meeting which would be me deliberately misleading someone, which I wouldn't do

Ive had a few experiences where people had put some weight and age on compared to their profile. It does knock you back when you meet. But me being the polite gentleman I couldn't turn around and say, "Oh hey don't you look older than your pic and fatter". So like a rabbit caught in headlights I continued with the meet. But then had several showers and burnt me clothes when i got back home

If someone is 45 and puts 44 as their Fab age could you tell?

Honestly?

And does it really matter? If you met them.in the street, a bar or a club would their age be one of the first questions you asked or would you just be attracted to and interested in them as they appeared in front of you at that moment?

Serious question.

It appears that any adjustment no matter how small is a capital offence on here.

If Fab removed age details I'm 99% sure people would still look to meet and would just go by what they see.

I ask people’s age because it’s important to me. It may not be to some.

If someone is lying about a year on their age (deliberately) then it’s likely they can lie about other things.

Why lie about your age unless you’re trying to get around filters? If age is just a number and it’s meaningless why do so many people shave years off their real age?

Some people like strictly blondes, or size 8 women, some like people over or under a certain age. Everyone is entitled to their preferences.

I doubt there's many of us who don't know our age, what I'm talking about is people being deliberately deceptive - I don't understand how you can think that's acceptable

A"

It's the fact your going out of your way to be deceptive, if it's such a small adjustment why do it in the first place?

It proves you can't be trusted & if you can't be trusted with something at your own admission so small

How can I possibly know I can trust you if ever we were to be alone?

I suspect at 23 it's unlikely you'd feel the urge to knock 5yrs off yours I've seen guys add on theirs though

"Is it just me that feels lying any sort on here be it age, marital status just to get a meet is a bit... well the word we aren't allowed to write but it begins with R & ends in E

If you contact someone with an incorrect age and you send upto date pictures, you meet in a social setting and it carry’s on to an evening of pleasure what difference does it make?

This is a very odd site!"

Your missing the point if you've deliberately altered your age because you think it will give you a better chance of getting a meet, ie a bigger pool of people or worse still amended it to contact a particular person, it's decitful, which is in itself creepy, dirty old man from the 80s kind of thing making dodgy phone calls

If your a nice decent bloke why lie in the first place, I'm sure you'll get meets anyway

You taking away the other persons right to choose because you think your right to contact them regardless of their preferences is more important

I can't fathom how people can't understand how wrong it is

You can only amend your DOB once though. So it's unlikely people are doing it just to target specific individuals. I'll hold my hands up and say I rolled mine back by a year on my birthday. Not to get around filters or anything silly like that. I just felt in a bit of a funk about another year passed. I generally mention it if it comes up in a chat though, and nobody has seemed to give a toss about it yet

They definitely are doing it to get around a specific persons age filters. I often get messages from guys who’ve done this and admit it to me ie ‘ignore my profile I’m actually 35 I just lowered it as I wanted to message someone and their age filters wouldn’t allow it’

I find it’s always those who say “Age is just a number” “Stop being ageist” and so on are the ones who lies about their age.

Yes my age is accurate.

I only meet in clubs and I am truthful and transparent in my circumstances. I swing because this allows me to be myself so I am not going to lie about who I am.

Also I feel that honesty and truthfulness are key pillars of swinging because you need to be able to trust the people in whose hands you are going to put your body and they need to be able to trust you.

Yep lol hence why they have to explain they’ve lied on their profiles as I’m 35+. I’d never meet someone who admits to changing their age to get around someone’s filters though!
