Has anyone had this issue. Appears that no one is interested in talking to you on fab. Fab has changed a lot over the years. People seem to have become more stuck up and contradicting themselves, eg. Its OK for some to plaster nude pics on their profile and then comment on their disgust on others nude profile, don't get it. Wondering what people are looking for on here?

Fab is what you make it. We don't plaster nudes all over our profile. We're not into chatting. Our account says, "we're only looking to play if we have a meet up, no other offers in the mean time". So what's the point in just chatting, and going off the boil? And we have 6 new veris since New Year. Fab is not dead in our little corner of Fabs.

Firstly what is vitriol? Secondly its not about not meeting anyone. It seems most on here are on it just to browse and 80% messages are unread, fake profiles maybe?

I think the problem is us ladies get to be very selective when it comes to swinging. If a profile doesn't capture the imagination then you reduce your chances of a response. I'm not here for the mundane or average. What does surprise me is the amount of guys who come across as just desperate for sex and moan about getting no interest. Why bother? It saddens me to think that the world has changed so much that people pin their hopes on finding someone to hook up with on the Internet and they get annoyed when it doesn't happen.

Well that’s a shame, i must say though, if I get a message I do look at the profile, yours is a bit empty, I’m sure it’s not a real reflection on who you are.

Also I would be put off by the 420 friendly part… just because I have no interest in that personally, and I’m not really too sure why I need to know it… but that’s just constructive feedback from me.

Actually agree with the OP, we used to find people who would chat a little and then meet on here. Recently it's a barrage of low quality messages from some quarters and lots of people who want to message until the heat death of the universe and can't organise themselves to actually meet.

We only really use the site now to keep in touch with those we meet in clubs, given our current experiences we are unlikely to renew our site support.

80% of the detailed messages I've send have been unread, why bother wasting time to make sure each message shows that you have made an effort to look through the person's profile. Even when people ask to put certain words in the message header to see if you read their profiles don't respond back.

Fab is not a free sex site it's very much a social media more in Keeping with Facebook when you understand that you can start to enjoy.

It's very much a doorway to something very special of sex parties club's and private events no one can make you use it you need to push yourself to go and be involved.

If I was a man looking for a man, I would be over whelmed. I get lots of views and unsolicited messages that I politely decline.

I rarely get them from couples or ladies, so have to send them myself. I always try and be different, be personal and don't message unless I am absolutely interested in them. I find response rate pretty high, even if it’s just a no thanks.

Women probably get a-lot of messages/spam so they can choose what they spend their time replying too. As you probably do with emails or what ever.

The other week I had hit it off with a lady, messaging etc etc. Then boom no reply. For the first time ever I did a double message, against my better judgement - but it had been a week. She apologised profusely even though was no need, seems I got lost in her 100’s of messages and she hadn't read it. Goad i messaged as normal service is resumed, but made me realise a singular man is probably a drop in the ocean on here.

Try reading the thread link at the bottom of my profile. You’re not verified by meeting in person so many won’t take the risk of chatting and meeting you. Once you’ve been to a no-pressure social and met people in person, who are all there, to meet new people - the veris will pour in and people will know you’re trustworthy.

There’s nothing to make me want to reply, the torso pic is ok, but not particularly inspiring. The bio tells me nothing about you, so chances are I wouldn’t read your message, but if I did, unless your message was amazing, I’d be moving on.

We're not sure fab is dead, when we first signed up years ago everything was new, the forums were exciting as we were constantly learning about the lifestyle.

Now when you've been here for years the forums seem repetitive which is completely understandable.

Chatting to strangers(mainly single men as that was what we was looking for) was exciting as was social meets, all very new but the chatting to strangers became stale as it was pretty much the same conversations.

So we found we enjoyed clubs the best but fab was what really started us on this path.

So we don't really thing fab has changed a great deal.

I look at a profile before I answer any new message if the profile doesn't interest me then I won't answer the message 99 per cent of the time.

There are subscription services out there that you can join if you want to, but I think that FAB has overtaken them in participants precisely because you can use it without subscribing. I’m an useless penpal , I therefore tend to only engage with profiles I’d like to meet, I have no interest in exchanging endless “how’s u, what u up 2” with people I have no intention in taking things further with, I rely on my friends and family for general chit chat.

For every message received I check the profile out, if nothing catches my attention … a “no thank you” ensues. I personally see no point in maintaining an online conversation with “strangers” I’m not attracted to.

But that’s me, I’m aware that we all use Fab for different reasons and in different ways.

Pretty much all of page 1 have recent verifications, and appear to be genuine.

The majority of fabbers are fine people. As someone who's not meeting these days it would be easy to be given short shrift by some but in fairness any rejections I've had when approaching people just for cam friendship have been courteous. Must add that those who've taken me up on the offer even more so !

I think a lot is to do with treat others as you would expect to be treated, it's my mantra and it obviously goes a long way

This exactly. Far too many people seem to forget the imbalance here between single guys and women/couples. The guys might get two "requests" to chat each week, we get ten each day. If we took them all up on it, by the end of the week we'd be answering "what you doing?" to seventy guys. Three hundred by the end of the month.

Their business model has given them what seems to be the most active website in the sector. If they choose to change that, it’s their business, but it seems to work for them.

Whether I personally engage with that business model is irrelevant to its overall success. I don’t have a moral obligation to engage with a business model on their terms instead of my own. But I have given money to fabs in the past, and probably every other adult dating website too. Fabs is the only site I would consider paying again in the future, because the others didn’t have enough members.

As I said, you are free to sign up to one of those sites, and that might indeed work better for you. But if they don’t work better for you, you’re not in a good position to say that fabs should be more like those sites.

If it happens naturally, great. But when I was single on other sex-meet sites, there did seem to be ladies treating it as a traditional dating website. Asking about my salary. Specifying that I should meet them in an expensive restaurant. When I cottoned on that these were not people who were interested in NSA sex with me, it was quite a relief to disengage.

I wonder if they were not finding enough options on traditional dating sites, and were trying to leverage the surfeit of males on sex websites.

Great. I think they tend to have a smaller clientele than fabs though, so might be less useful for those with very specific requirements. For example, Charlotte is straight, and we couldn’t find any couples on other websites who wouldn’t only meet bi females.

I have to disagree fab is not dead by any means.

I’ve had some great chats both as a result of forum posts, stories posts and also been lucky to have a few meets. I even plucked up the courage to visit my first club

I always think, for me, respect is an important thing in any walk of life but as our first point of contact is virtual so to speak that first impression is key.

Not everyone likes you that you speak to and that’s absolutely fine but I certainly don’t think this site is dead.

What you have to realise is women out number men 10-1.. let that sink in a minute, thats not including couples... so for every 1 message you send, the woman will recieve another 9-10.. What makes you stand out? Once you get the numbers put of the way and you get chatting unfortunatly not everyone clicks if you do and you arrange a meet that doesnt mean youll get on ... its a long drawn out process where the numbers are against you but every once in a while a meet will come along that makes it all worth while, you only get out what you put in

It may be worth reading the dozens or even hundreds of offers of advice on creating an attractive profile.

If you saw somebody in a bar who had a reasonably attractive body but was wearing a bag on their head would you bother to speak to them.

Yes I come here to chat as do the vast majority of those I've chatted to. All without an agenda or endgame in mind. Chatting doesn't always result in meeting and meeting doesn't always result in sex and that's how many people use the site.

Been on and off since roughly 2006. Used to use the heaven site too. I think as a single guy it's gotten harder to meet. That's because more people know about and use the sight and there is a lot more guys on here.

Where I could set up a good ten to twenty meets a year from fab is down to one or two on my single account.

Not dead though. Have a couple account and we've met a few guys and couples on here.

I do find it frustrating though it's hard to even get noticed on this cock fest most of my messages go unread despite sending face photos not how are you fancy a fuck etc as requested and only message those who I think I would be compatible with. I suspect that fab is, as it was, and now a great number of new (mainly males) bring a new set of values.

Things like text talk, social values, an insistence of instance gratification culture that doesn’t align to “old” fab.

I think saying people are stuck up will do you no favours, it makes you sound bitter & angry which will be an instant turn off for many

Fab seems pretty much the same as its always been, loads of new people joined during lock downs and are probably intimidated/terrified in equal measure so no surprise there courage fails them regarding meets, and many are scared of covid so don't want to meet.
