I recently had a conversation with a friend, who had no sex for 5 years and they are married. No idea if he or she is cheating as I know they definitely not Swingers.

But my question is do you know anyone who doesn't have sex for a long time? Or doesn't enjoy sex that they stopped doing it?

Anyone you know are born again virgins??

Yes we have a female friend of ours whos not had sex in 7 years since she and her hubbie broke up.. she yearns for it but is putting out all the wrong vibes..to pardon the pun..we ve tried to help arrange dates but its all been a failure..shes coming to terms with the fact it may never happen.. we keep our fingers crossed.. she believes she is Asexual now ...no desire to follow up on anything.

I think there is a lot of it, a lot more than people imagine. One woman we met here had not had sex with her husband (or anyone else) for well over 5 years. She said they had had an argument, she wasn't sure what it is she'd said because he wouldn't discuss it (any part of it) but that was that - no more sex ever.

A failry couple who posed as Mr & Mrs Very Contented haven't had sex in over a decade- he's definitely not contented about it and they don't advertise the fact that they just don't. (He was flying a flag for Dead French Girlfriend for years, before the Big Off Switch, which may account for it).

So no, not uncommon I think. It's just that when you aren't you imagine everyone else is at it like rabbits.

I (Luke) started swinging because my wife would only have sex with me once a year at most. She told me I wasn't going to get it from her so I might as well get it somewhere else.

I resisted at first because I didn't want to damage the relationship. She got even more shitty with me than usual if I suggested we have sex after that and told me she had already told to go elsewhere.

I started going to clubs occasionally and found a swinging partner. Then my wife got pissed off with me for getting action with somebody else.

We're not married any more. Irreconcilable differences.

Not doubting it's uncommon. I know from first hand about it and how it can destroy relationships. But my male friends tell me how important it is for relationships to stay together. it's good to hear people stay together regardless of not having sex

When the sex goes it’s an indication of something being wrong. We all have periods of illness , tiredness, stress from work and kids can make things difficult but in general if it’s not happening at least 2-3 times a week something deeper isn’t quite right

this was us at one point. Lost all mojo after first child. Totally lost interest in sex would happen once every few months. I could take it or leave it. No idea why. Probably mentally and physically exhausted.

We now have 2 children.

Fast forward to now and the last 8 months have been like a flick has been switched. It went to several times a day and now has evened out to 5 or 6 days a week.

No idea why the change just glad Mr never left me

I don't think you can say how many times a week couples should be having sex. Some people are happy with once a month while some are happy with once a day. It's only a problem in my opinion when a once a day person is in a relationship with a once a month person.

Similar situation to me me and wife had sex twice this year she list interest after a major illness 4yrs ago, that's why I'm on here but more chance of sex with wife again as soon as people see your married not interested.

I get a service fuck or hand once every 6 months.

I love my wife and we have been together 30 years but she has no desire, wants, or needs for sex.

I have been told to find it elsewhere but as I work for myself the market is very sparse.

During the pandemic it has been worse as I can't even have a flirt in the pub.

Was with my ex for nearly 5 years and she had no desire for sex I found it really hard to be with her as I have a high sex drive, in the end I even had to force her to kiss me it made me feel so worthless so had to end the relationship. Glad I did now

Whenever I get into a serious relationship I find that I am the one to lose my sexual appetite whereas they're gagging for it. Would rather watch a boxset or get some actual sleep. There was one person I was in a brief relationship with and I just always wanted to fuck her. But we only saw each other at weekends so I suppose that was a factor. If we lived together maybe it would have gone the same way. I do like boxsets and sleep though...
