"I've never had an issue. Be discreet and look purposeful. " Same here, never had any issues with either day rates or evening meets

"Hi we are just looking to book our first hotel meet. We've seen a thread where hotel management refused to allow a non-guest up to the room. Is this something we should be worried about? Is it likey to happen? We don't want to have well planned and special occasion ruined. Any thoughts and any other advice appreciated. " Be confident and it won't be a problem, if you're worried find a hotel where the rooms have access from the bar so you don't have to go past reception

"We’ve had lots of hotel meets, never had any problems, if you pick a small, non chain hotel you are asking for trouble, but a large chain you’ll never have any problems, too many comings and goings for anyone to notice anything x" Both times I was at a Travellodge. Unfortunately a small quiet one with perceptive staff.

Is it likey to happen? We don't want to have well planned and special occasion ruined. Any thoughts and any other advice appreciated. " We feel your anxiety, but don't fret. Most hotels do not care as long as you don't disturb other guests. Be discreet and just waltz on through reception like you own the place and you'll be fine. If at all worried, have a drink in the hotel bar together. Most staff won't have a clue who the other person is and once they've sen you they will ignore any suspicion. It is always worth checking the hotel out in advance, sometimes there are routes to the rooms that don't involve passing reception, ie through the bar. Good luck

"I have had a problem, twice. I don’t look weird or act suspicious, I was just unlucky. I would always insist on being met in reception now. Being cross-questioned about people’s surnames and car registrations isn’t a good start to a meet." Women get much more grief as singles - some hotel staff make some nasty assumptions about sexwork (as if their prejudices will prevent it hapening)....
