A friend who is technically a hopeless romantic uses p o f and has been chatting to a local lady well within the first hour her messages started to include explicit pics some of which look very photoshopped I just think she's a fake... if something looks too good to be true in my suspicions mind it is...

So last night I started looking on female profiles here and think there are quite a lot here too... what we saying? ? Or am I being paranoid?

Your not being paranoid, I would say that at least 60% of the female profiles on here are fake

I think 99% of ladies are genuine there just arnt enough on here;(

I do think that a lot of couples profiles are fake and its just the hubby wishing the wife will take part

It's not just female profiles that are fake. I would say there's more fake couples then women then male profiles. So don't just feel like you're shafted because you're a guy. Women get let down too!

There are too many people wanting to talk about sex than the act of doing. Which is a shame

Your not being paranoid, I would say that at least 60% of the female profiles on here are fake "

60%? That’s a very high percentage.

If it is 60% must make it even harder than normal for genuine guys to get meets then.

What do people mean by fake? They're not intending to meet or are there men/women trying to be the other sex? I don't quite understand the point of either of them. Ive been on the site for some time and have yet to find any myself or to be honest I'm not sure I'd recognize one

If you’re unsure of the pics, try comparing them on Tineye, it’s become a handy go to on here, found quiet a few out on here... but not always 100% full proof unfortunately

Trust your instincts too, someone comes on hard and strong, all very quickly, to the point you think this is too good to be true, then it probably is...

I have sussed a fair few couples profiles where it's obviously a guy by himself why the f@#& do it jus be genuine and don't mess it up for others...

People claiming to meet but not, people claiming to be one gender when they're another, fake or old photos, luring people in for a pay for service.

Very, this is only from my experience, most get banned within 24 hours but keep returning

Unfortunately Fab & other similar sites have a deluge of time wasters, photo collectors, closet fairies and hairy arsed wankers living with their parents.

Some are easy to spot, others less so. Drill down into their verifications and see who verified them.

If they've been on here for awhile and have no or very few veris then be very suspicious.

Age groups of 18-99 tend to be bogus accounts too.

As a couple the best test we've discovered so far is to demand a girl to girl telephone chat. Any excuses & we walk.

You may lose the odd genuine couple, but worth it IMHO.

I always insist on a social meeting now for potential one to one encounters and enjoy it for what it is. It may mean I miss out on some one but thats ok. You can be let down by someone thereafter but at least you know it's a real person.

The couples profiles make us chuckle, we've been on before so within days of joining was photo verified and someone we had previously met verified aswell.

But yet theres ones who have been on here years, no meets, no pics and the odd status that "hubby is free with wife's permission" or bring home pictures. Like really... You really think people are that stupid. Just don't get it.

I don’t come across many fakes on here but it depends on your definition of fake. There’s been hundreds of conversations over the years which have fizzled out, thereby leaving me open to an accusation of fakery. I’m not, I do meet...but I can’t meet everyone.

I have messages from "David Zepeda" asking for a meet in Dublin, the mexican telenovela actor.

Reported.

But it makes it interesting though - things to investigate (fake vs real), report etc.
