Ok, it's taken me a while to find a suspender belt that works for day to day wear and also feels sexy.

I'm currently into:

The 'Pour Moi Electra' and the 'Gorgeous DD+ - Eva' from Debenhams.

Any advice on a nice, black, deep(ish) belt?

Best advise I can give is to look for at least 6 strap belts or even 8 strap belts. The more straps the less chance for the stockings to slip.

I bought a 6 strap belt a while back, but it just doesn't have the waist grip that the Electra has. I'm thinking that maybe I need to look into 14's instead of 16's. Not sure how I've become slimmer?!?

Try a girdle? Sounds old fashioned but they are great at holding the wobbly bit in....assuming you have any of course and have 6/8 straps so feel really secure...and less lines under your clothing...all the guys Iv met love them too so that’s a bonus

I agree. Some of the six-strap belts have five or six hooks and eyes that create a very firm grip around the waist.

I usually go for ‘Honey Birdette’ ones or Custom made ones.

Touchable - they made them in the UK to your waist measurement, thick or thin straps and as many as you want. They do a lovely satin crepe deep belt in black. They also make amazing nylons on an old 1940's machine.

Ted baker ones are good and stay attached well. I have a 4 strap one and it never lets me down.

Going down a size helps it stay around your middle so if you are a size 12 try a 10 and if its comfortable it will stop it slipping down.

I wear stockings and suspenders under my boy clothes all day every day and have 4 strap belts from ted baker, debenhams, pour moi and a 6 strap one too.

Generally best to go for ones with metal clasps as they stay attached much better than plastic ones, just be careful if you have to go through security screens and metal detectors as they will set them off as its happened to me!

I agree here.

I almost always wear a Rago corselette. It is figure hugging, figure shaping and has 6 proper metal suspenders .... proper classic and incredibly sexy lingerie.... and as you say, does hide a few sins!!!
