Following on from another thread about steps to out fake couples (guys pretending to be couples) it got us thinking.

Of people who have had at least a few meets then what percentage of your face to face meets have resulted in a single guy turning up (wife unavailable for some reason) or a complete no show ?

For us it’s 0% as in we have never had a fake couple or no show couples.

Wondering what everyone else has experienced?

We wouldn't be able to put a percentage on it. But not many as if we think they are going to drop out or waste our time we don't make the arrangement to start

In lots of meets, one wife unavailable, one no show. That is a very low percentage, but high compared to 0% lol

Never let it get that far tbh, if they can't both go on cam and there's a male who's constantly texting but partner is never messaging then I suss something is up.

I don't meet couples now but what I get alot of today is messages from single male profiles "Will you meet me and my partner" No.. "Will you meet her" No.. Ect.

I don't know if this is a new thing some couples do but it's highly annoying.

We’ve never met any where only one half of a couple have turned up but we’ve had a couple of “wife running late” messages before we were due to meet and we’ve cancelled on those x

Most "couples" I've had conversations with on here have ended up awkward as they are vague about what they want and who is actually chatting- probably fakes, so they disappear from my mailbox quick.

Met a couple who announced that the husband wanted to fuck me whilst wife watched. It was never discussed before the meet and is made it clear I was straight but they chose to announce only hubby played whilst we sat in their living room

I've chatted to many fake couples and women that were clearly just men.

Never had a no show.

Once we had a meet arranged with a couple then the woman contacted us on a different couple profile and wanted us to meet with her fb instead, behind her husband's back.

It hasn't happened to us so far (thankfully), we tend to be cautious when arranging meets with people outside of a club environment.

Last time i was on here a Couple decided that they wanted to meet me and oh surprise surprise the lady was not able to make it but the guy said he would like to meet even thought i said he was straight as am I and the location was not in Bar for a drink but in a LAYBY i blocked him and moved on

We tend to find the fake ones out themselves somehow before it gets to the actual meet stage.

You can usually tell within the first few messages.

Once I expected to meet a couple and it was as though there was never a woman, I left as I wasn't attracted to him anyway but it didn't click with me until afterwards that there was no woman and no mention of a woman either

The percentage for actual meets would be very low as everyone has their own ways of filtering out people that are not real. The reason everyone has different techniques which work for them will always keep this percentage low.

The percentage for how many people that message you and are the single male or fake would probably be over 50 percent though .

We’ve never had a no show or someone unexpected turn up, but we tend to be quite careful in who we arrange to meet with. There’s never any expectation by that stage they won’t be genuine.

It's usually obvious before it gets to the meet stage, so we've never met with those who always happen to say their wife/gf is away and if they can just meet alone for now.

Spoke to a fair few . But never met . The green verified tick is a good indicator (but not the b all and end all) and we always ask to chat on the phone before hand

Our profile and messages always look really suspect in our opinion.

We don’t live together. Live in different towns. Work in London and can only meet during the week. The Male runs the account as she is totally sub and doesn’t log on a lot. She will message sometimes if she is online.

It sets bells off a lot of the time but we can’t do it any other way.

We meet and are genuine. Just life gets in the way of fab sometimes. Never had a no show but had plenty of people chatting and then just stopping because we aren’t a “genuine” couple. But we make this clear in our profile.

I'm part of a couple on here and we have only had one last minute cancellation. In fairness we smelt it a few days out and arranged to meet at a club so nothing was really lost

Photo verified, verifications and general chat will usually filter them out

Yes! This exactly, I mean I meet men so I don't know what the issue is with this. Maybe it's their fantasy thing involved with cheating?

I just give them a mouthful of trying to get round filters if they're actually a couple.

Truth, it actually puts me off meeting couples in general if half of these are fake accounts and ploys to bag pictures and mess you around. I couldn't feel safe doing it.

I have met a few fake couples on here. Luckily I spotted it before it progressed to real life.

Every fake couple I met on here only had photos of the male on the profile.

Another way to spot fake couples is when the guy asks what you would do to her sexually if you met them. You know he just wants to masturbate and his wife/girlfriend has no idea he has made a profile on fab. Once he has cum you never hear from him again. Sometimes he blocks you.

Now before I meet a couple I insist on talking to the woman either via mobile or via skype.

We've never had a no show or no wife. We get plenty of fake messages though- and we're currently getting a lot of "single" women who are veri'd who, after setting a date, suddenly change from I to we. Given we do sometimes meet couples too, it's jolly irritating that they weren't honest in the first place!! (And breathe...). Apparently we're then time wasters as we ask tricky questions like who is this man? What does he look like, etc
