What would you think if you had been exchanging messages with someone, you'd accepted a friends request, then sent them a face pic and then they responded with their face pic, showing them holding a 8 inch blade?

It all seemed to be going well up until that point.

I'd think that would be really odd, then I'd block them.

I agree. Thanks for replies. But do you think he's a threat? only a strange person would do that. I worry for others who might be meeting him in the future

All of the above, be a little more vigilant in case there’s another profile, maybe a message voicing your concern to the moderators.

But am I the only one that has got a “not a knife but an 8 inch chopper” quote rolling round their head right now??

Treat him as a threat.

Copy the pic and his id to Admin and ask them if you or them passing it on to the police might be sensible.

Given our current laws about knives who in their right mind sends such a pic?

Yes not a move to entice me to meet, more like trying to shock and frighten. I wonder how many women he's done that with.. chatted for a while and then exchange a face pic and then.. bam..flash of his favourite blade?

Best bet is to pass on to police, sending and posting images like this is illegal and he could be a danger to somebody even a random person on the street.

Was it next to a sky remote. Because otherwise it might not have been as big as you think?

Thats an odd photo choice, maybe he didn't think it through & just sent the first photo he saw of his face.

What was the intent in the photo? To scare, show off cooking skills, something else?

Depends if you’d talked kinky stuff *grins* or if they were a chef, I guess.

Thanks for all the replies

First thing I did was block

I would never meet someone who thinks it's normal to show a photo with a smile showing their largest knife with an odd look on their face. Yes it was a large knife.

I think it's pretty sad sending a photo like that. He's definitely odd.

However I am pre warned now not to meet him. I am more concerned what would happen if he meets someone else who isn't pre warned then he tries to frighten them with it.

Can't see what would be kinky about a knife and he wasn't cutting vegetables

Ha!...plenty kinky (and completely legal ). But if you hadn’t chatted like that before, way too left-field.

Report him to admin expressing your concerns. Not sure how much that will do in the big picture as he could re-register under another name without that picture. If they had any morals they would report him to the police with all his ip info
