I've tried to Google dogging spots in Birmingham, been curious to see what it's all bout. Posts were from a few years ago. Was wondering if anyone knew any decent spots now from personal expierences to watch people have sex and possibly join in. Thanks

Google?

Think about it for a moment.

If a dogging spot is findable on Google then (disregarding doggers) can you guess just who else will have it on their list of "must visit" places?

There are still a few active locations around the midlands, trouble is a lot of former locations died off because they were widely discussed on open forums or because they became too popular. This made it easy for the police to shut them down,or for hordes of undesirables and large numbers of single men to frequent such spots, which drove the genuine players away.Dogging has had its heyday, active locations are few and far between now

There are a couple around the Surrey area. The problem is that to find them, you have to dig around a little (or know the right people). Having them easily findable attracts total weirdos and the police.

There's also the problem of dashcams. I wouldn't have any confidence that whatever happenes wasn't being recorded these days.

Used to go a few nights a week, trouble now too many youngsters and drugs which attract the police. If ever we go we drive off to safe locations, but this defeats what we after, the buzz of it, even gay guys watch and enjoy. True doggers stay for ages, smoke, chat and make it an addiction.

It's not what it used to be, we used to order a pizza, park up as it was getting dark, eat and just watch cars arriving, chat and socialise a bit, before putting on a show, in or out of our car, picnic tables are the perfect height and stop those little scratches on the bonnet, that scene seems dead now, killed off by people naming locations publicly too much, and webcams saving people even leaving home to show out, these days we tend to find a suitable place and invite people from Fab to come and be our audience.

Yeah nothing worse than the thought of secret filming via phones and dash cams and you end up on porn hub

That would really pee me of. It makes me want to by some woodland and set up a discreet fun for all the people that just want to have some fun. The auddacity of some people.

The way forward..is find a nice private spot and do invite only dogging ..that's what we do..Then there is no risk of being bombarded with a load of men and unwanted filming ...you just invite the amount of guys you would like to attend .if you are a couple Dogging...

forums /police/ tearaways/gays all seem to get the blame for the current decline in dogging but don't you think it's like all taboo/underground/risque things, the change began when it "come out of the closet".

Once it becomes mainstream, in a way it's fucked so to speak,a bit like cottaging.

The police know most of the

spots by and large and only act if a complaint is made by the public.

Cruising sites and dogging spots have often overlapped so it's not gay men spoiling the fun.

If we want to blame someone then a well known footballer (ex) who 'came out' comes to mind.

It's what it is..

We still go out regular without giving any hints as to where we will be as that takes away the fun.

It's not just dash cams, it's very easy to hide "wildlife" cameras in the undergrowth.

I used to go up Blidworth years ago, and this was before everyone in the country knew what 'dogging' was, and it was great - a really good social circle actually, and everyone looked out for each other and whilst nothing was guaranteed (and most times nothing happened), it felt a relatively 'safe' environment in which to watch or play.

Picked up by the media and now everyone knows about it. The single guys cruising around went up massively, some dodgy folk appeared and combined with the increase in legit swinging clubs, fewer and fewer couples took part regularly.

It still goes on of course, and on most nights there will be at least 1 or 2 couples passing through and sometimes far more, but the last time I went up there (not really for dogging, more to see what it was like now) half the car park seemed to be full of boy racers, and it's hard to feel sexy when periodically some tarted up Astra goes wheelspinning around the car park whilst the occupants shout 'Fucking Queers!' from their rolled down windows.

Not like the 'old days' certainly

Now real doggers use location coordinates privately and will not name a place. Although it's not my thing I can under the excitement. A couple picked me up for a party once and on the way they decided to stop to a spot. Under a bridge I was scared to death stayed in the car, they went and came back 30 minutes laughing their heads off. I could see a small crowd.

I think you'd have to be caught in or doing a lewd act in public .I doubt any law would have been broken just sitting in your car in such a place if police visited

Precisely. It comes under public indecency. 'Public' is defined as 2 or more. So if you go dogging comit indecent exposure. Even all those present declare that they were not offended, the arresting officer will considered as public and they will claim to be offended. You can only escape if it's on your land away from public

the right frame of mind -London

Question time: If Google can find them, do you reckon old bill can too? If old bill can easily find them, do you reckon that will either attract other doggers or deter them? If they manage to overcome the second question successfully, do you reckon that would be a turn on or turn off then?

Just asking like...

Google is a great tool for finding out where not to go. The lesser known spots are better than the better known spots.

You may have started something there, a cross between swinging club and a golf club set up a members club to buy a piece of land, all members (that's not excluding women as I mean paid members ) get to use the facilities, you could law it out like a golf course too, woodland, bunkers, water hazards, a bit of rough if you stray off course and a mine 'hole' course if you're pressed for time or do the full 18 holes on a Sunday afternoon
