Confusing profile?

Okay so I understand that if we put in our bio that we are only meeting and looking for an octopus with only one tentacle and and a tribal tattoo, we will still get endless massages.

But today, we got a 64 year old straight man, who can accommodate (as per his message) tell us that if we sorted our profile out correctly, he wouldn’t have messaged.

We tried to make our bio clear. So is our profile confusing? Not really sure how to “sort it out”

Oh yeah that’s pretty common, we met with someone who had bi in their profile, but was clearly straight when we went for a social

Thankyou, we would but our age filters are more of a guide, however for single guys it’s more in stone which is why we outlined it in our profile x

It is very clear. If I were to be picky the only inconsistency is that when you set up your profile you didn’t tick you were looking for men. In the bio you set out the single men you would potentially be interested.

However a little bit of thought can give a credible possible explanation for that inconsistency.

No doubt you deliberately decided not to tick “men” because you didn’t want to be inundated with guys searching for couples and then being on their list for a spam message.

I don’t think you need to change anything. It is more likely he thought he would be the exception and was trying his luck in a way which wouldn’t mean he was actually rejected. Ignore the guy

I fail to see the confusion.

We frequently have the same issue though where much older men who don't match our preferences use their couples account to message us.

They don't seem to appreciate that everyone's preferences must be matched, not just theirs.

It’s as clear as day regards your age preferences etc.

It’s a them problem not a you problem so no need to change anything

Nothing confusing much like most profiles but we tend to find they just read the parts they want and think the rest doesn't apply to them lol

We had a guy with a single profile message and when we asked if he had taken on board we weren't looking for single guys his response was "yeah I know but I'm married". So that was that lol

Don't seem confusing to me, quite clear what you're both looking for, looks a great profile! The getting out of bankruptcy in Monopoly made me laugh!!

I had a few couples (before I blocked them) offering to meet me as she was bi curious.

I'm straight and not looking for couples😂. People either just don't read,or they do and think you'd make an exception for them.

Hope you offered to take him to specsavers.

We thought it may have been just us who get approached by guys who ‘want to meet women’ and it says ‘straight’ on their profile, then they profess to be bi having met men and bi couples too.

Lob in the old ‘hi’ and ‘great tits’ messages and it’s just another day on Fab 😂
