Uptight members using caps lock

Why is it that some people are so uptight about fab communications?

I take everything with a pinch of salt and if someone hasn’t read our profile I block or repeat myself depending on how I feel that day.

Does anyone think it’s a red flag if someone has caps lock on their profile demanding that members read their profile or something similar?

I probably come over meek as I keep forgetting to use the caps so virtually everything is lower case

If someone can’t control their temper when typing into a web site, they sure as hell can’t in person. Hard pass.

I have CAPS LOCK on my profile as I'm tired of repeating myself AND FEEL THAT SOME ARE CLEARLY NOT HEARING ME & I NEED TO SHOUT!📢🗣

That's the purpose though isn't it, to show what's important to person/people and attempt to filter who gets in touch. If someone reads it and doesn't like what's been written so doesn't contact them it's done it's job.

Personally we don’t choose that approach we tend to ignore or block. We don’t need to shout in caps lock to meet nice people, but we understand your perspective and frustration that so many don’t read profiles xx

Not really, I feel they're probably v frustrated with people not reading what they've written and try to highlight important bits.

Meh, delete and block are just a click away. We can usually tell in the first message or two if the person is gormless or not.

I don't demand people read my profile. But if they ask me questions already answered in it. I get bored.

If someone was really interested in getting to know me, they'd take 30 seconds to read my profile it's just polite.

I have no issues people using uppercase on a few words to emphasise something in their profile or perhaps to reinforce a particular sentence. However, 'caps lock' on their entire profile narrative is excessive and unnecessary, and I would become bored very quickly.

Some women are inundated with nonsense and (some) men will ignore or disregard whatever is written in their profiles, therefore those women resort to writing their entire profile in uppercase as a form of frustration. That's fine...but they're going to limit their chances of engaging with their target audience.

I do see the different perspectives but I agree with you as it limits the target audience. There is no use in talking to folk that don’t read profiles talk to the ones that respect people enough to actually read the profile xx

Brighton - even Hove!

I have a secret word on my profile which I INSIST ladies and couples HAVE to quote in their very first message to me inviting me for sex at a time and place convenient to me.

I used capital locks on an old phone once and I got accused of shouting. ( Before I phones and picture phones) . I was doing it because I couldn’t see the lower case text but the capitals were easier to see.

I got a very curt message saying I was shouting at them.

Not so much as " uptight" but as others have said, it's like talking to a brick wall. We state blank silhouette profiles will be "BLOCKED". Because we are emphasising the outcome if you view us.

I probably find it more of a red flag if they're being uppity about how other people choose to govern their profile instead of just shrugging it off as a not for me and moving on. But that's okay, I can shrug it off and move on 💜

Actually I have.....when I first joined & didn't have anything in uppercase (to make a point/reiterate/highlight important MUST READ text) I would receive a lot more rubbish in my inbox.

It's borne from frustration about people (almost always guys) who are determined to never read any profile and thereby get themselves binned even though they are potentially a good fuck.

Meh. Most of us have had enough negative experiences to get a bit shouty about SOMETHING (that should be bolded, but I have limited formatting options) and I’m looking for people I feel compatible with.

Would it put me off playing with someone? Likely. But there’s at least ten other things they can put on their profile, so no big deal?

I really don't think you can blame Trump for making it socially unacceptable to write posts entirely in upper-case.

I don’t feel Caps come across as angry or not being nice. When you view a profile the Caps draw the eyes to key parts most folks tend to skip over.

Great for the lazy browsers and totally understand the frustration which lead to the need to use it x

I can. Because it is just an opinion in a forum.
