I think that’s quite normal these days. I do love a woman in heels, it’s just I’m a LOT shorter!

It's a fascinating topic. And a bit strange. I'm considered short because I'm not 6 foot. I'm 5'11. And I'm taller than the women who have rejected me. It doesn't make sense. Should all men start wearing heels too? 😂😂

I've never outwardly been rejected by someone for my height. I mean, I have no real emotion towards it.... If someone's not attracted to me because of it, that's their choice and I respect that, but I'm also not going to let it get to me as I'm sure 99% of women don't actually want to hurt people when they reject them.

But, I'm sure I've been rejected by people who are perhaps too polite to say 🤷🏻. There's nothing I can do about that, or my height for that matter, so I just let the fun times roll and not have it affect me

Yeah, I've realised that for reasons I cannot fathom it really is a deal breaker for a lot of women. I have known this for quite a while so the question isn't so much do they, it's WHY it matters so much. Plenty of women say they prefer tall guys or won't meet with guys under an arbitrary threshold height, but I've not yet heard a reason as to why.

NB I'm not asking disputing that anyone should have a right to state their preferences, I would just love someone to dig into it and rationalise the statement. Many short fellas couldn't care less if they were with a woman of Amazonian stature, I just wonder why it doesn't work the other way around.

I read about a dating website that removed the height option in the things you can say you are looking for.

The reason being 80% of the single women on the site wanted a man 6 foot and over. In reality only 13% of adult males are 6 foot and over.

I just feel better in the arms of a tall man. Maybe it's the subconscious protector thing. I do know I feel self conscious with a shorter man (I'm talking probably 5'8" and under) - it makes me feel huge and mammy-like.

The arbitrary 6' and over rule is sometimes borne out of men's propensity for lying about their height. At a recent event I was standing beside and, at all of my 5'3" (ish), towering over a man who claims on his profile to be 6 foot tall. That's an extreme example but when I look at profiles I pretty much always minus 2 when looking at a man's height.

It makes sense for your height as you are tall yourself. What doesn't make sense is someone who is 5'5 or below and looking for 6ft+. Most men are not that tall. It sounds like a tick box exercise.

Abuse isn't warranted either way. I get preferences. However, it seems only women are allowed to have preferences. When a guy states he wants a certain type of lady, he gets attacked. Unless times are changing? Each to their own. We are all attracted to someone.

Definitely seems to be more prevalent these days, the expectation of men to be tall. It does seem a bit one sided though. Many women openly state a minimum height, or a height range, but imagine the uproar if men stated a maximum weight or waistline etc.

I remember a story about a man in the USA who paid over 100k to have his legs extended to go from 5'5 to 6ft. Multiple surgeries, recovery, rehab and learning to walk again. He has mobility issues and pain but he's tall now. I don't think it's worth it.

Most of us don't care. Genuinely. We want to be loved and love in return. It's that simple.

She's going to wear my clothes anyway, regardless of weight and waistline. Isn't that what women do in relationships? Or is that just my personal experience? 😂

Two guy's walk into a club and remove their clothes, and start to get a hardon, when they see all the naked ladies' one of them is over six feet tall but only has a five inch dick, the other guy is only five feet three inches tall but has a seven inch girthy cock.

Potentially neither. For me, a single attribute on it's own isn't enough. A 7 inch girthy cock on a man I don't otherwise find attractive isn't going to make any difference.

If I was equally attracted to both, I'd be drawn to the taller man

Give me 2 men with the similar personality and looks but different heights and I’d always go for the shorter guy. I feel like little and large otherwise, just spending the night looking up someone else’s nostrils.

To be honest, if someone has a preference I would sooner they are clear about it. For example - what does ‘gym fit’ mean?! I usually avoid people why ask for that, as it seems to be code for ‘slender’ - but I’m also someone who goes to the gym 3 times a week and can deadlift 1.5 times my own body weight…so….

Which was a long winded way of saying - preferences are fine, just find someone who wants what you offer. And the clearer the preferences are, the better!

I've never understood this silliness about height.

Personally have found plenty men who are under 6 foot very dynamic and full of personality, virile.

Plenty go-getting leaders of men in history have been 'short'. To me , they often pack more masculinity into a more compact frame and it's very attractive.

I really dislike the term gym fit aswell.. I don't think it's code for slender, but it's definitely missused, mainly by slender people in yoga pants taking selfies in a gym haha. Congrats on the 1.5 body weight deadlift. Big achievement! 💪

As a short couple (Mr Choc 5’ 5” and Mrs Choc 5’ 2”) it’s a subject we have talked about.

I’m (Mrs Choc) of the opinion that as long as the guy is taller than me it’s all good. But we ladies do have the advantage of super high heels if we wish.

Mr Choc is quite put off by tall woman. Just not attracted to them. This might be a comfort thing, who knows. Certain taller ladies who have wanted to play with him have had to be politely told no thank you.

But Mr Choc does have the advantage of being a broad chested masculine build and he usually wins over most women with his rapier sharp sense of humour and genuinely interested approach in conversation.

What always makes me laugh is watching Mr Choc zero in on the girl who is clearly under 5 foot the minute we walk into a club. He does like them as petite as possible in every way.

We are both short. When we read a profile and it specifies tall we know we aren't going to provide the experience they want and don't bother messaging. It's like Mr Average going to a size queen... Don't bother. They know what they like and it ain't you.

We have had one couple ask "why didn't you contact us" and the answer was "your profile told us not to".

Well I'm a man if 6"5 , love to X dress and did last night with my pink heels, tottering about

Love a sexy man knocking my door when I'm in them and my mini skirt and stockings plus high heels, sure I'd need wanking and kissing in my bright red lippy heh, heh, joking there xxx

Delightful.

However, how does that fit in with the spirit of the thread?

Despite the saying "size doesn't matter" would women (generally) prefer a tall guy with a small cock, or s short guy with a biggun? (Asking for a friend of course).

Height is not really a deciding factor for me.

I was surprised it was for some women apparently. But you're a funny lot sometimes...

I do prefer taller men, as in taller than me. It's a preference.

Just as women ask for athletic guys, or vwe guys; or men ask for big beautiful women, clean shaven etc. Hubbie and I don't match those preferences respectively so wouldn't contact those profiles on Fab

We find that in clubs people are more open to those outside their physical preferences if the chat and social is right.

Technically size should not matter as in height is not like we’re having a relationship with them. You’re gonna meet him a couple of times for some sexy play if I can do the job and keep a person satisfied what’s the problem?
