We all start with zero verifications, none, zero as we begin our Fab journey. We all have to start somewhere.

Someone has to take chance on you and meet you, otherwise no one would ever get any meet verifications.

I know once you have your first meet verification, it works in your favour, and stands you in good stead.

So my two questions as soneone with zero meet verifications after three years on Fab are -

1/ How long had you been on here with no meet verifications before someone gave you a chance?

2/ How many people will meet unverified people?. Considering that someone gave you a chance when you were unverified.?

As a woman on here - no one needs to give me a chance.. it is entirely the other way round veri or no veri.

I will meet someone who is unverified if I can see that they are genuine

its harder for guys on here but if I dont want to meet someone its generally because I am not attracted to them....

Having checked, it was about 6 months after joining we got our first verification (though we weren't actually looking to meet all that time). It's also clear most of ours are from clubs or organised socials, so didn't need anyone to 'take a chance' on meeting us.

We'd meet unverified people, but always have steps in place to ensure they're genuine beforehand, unless we meet in either of the above environments.

This is often said in forums, mostly by people with no verifications - it’s not the gate to the emerald city that you think it is.

And be warned - someone will tell you to go to an organised pub social to get your first as this is the most straightforward way…

We got our first verification very quickly as we go to clubs. Would we meet unverified people....yes we do all the time as we don't ask them if they are verified in a club situation and are happy to give them. There's plenty of swingers who aren't on fab too so the verification system is irrelevant when it comes to them.

I was here about a fortnight before I got my first.

And I've met unverified people many times. I simply arranged a brief coffee social somewhere I was going to be anyway. So no extra plans made, no unnecessary travel and zero expectations of any sex. Just a quick meet up for some caffeine and a natter.

Sometimes people showed up, sometimes they didn't. Made no real difference to me if they didn't as I was always going to be there anyway.

Some I left veris for and some I didn't, because they were miles apart from their personality portrayed online and looked worlds apart from the photos I'd seen and been sent.

The green tick isn't a magic wand.

If the only reason you seek one is because you think it will mean you're guaranteed to improve your chances of meeting then you're in for some disappointment. It might get you past a few message filters on here but you still have to interest and attract others. There are hundreds if not thousands of profiles on here with just one single solitary veri, often from years ago. And often hidden from view, with no idea who left it or what was said. 🤷‍♂️

Like you said, we all start on nothing and someone has to take a chance on you so we try to give back where we can.

I've met women and couples with no verifications.

I was on fab about five weeks when I got my first veri. After three months I had five. They were all from one to one social/coffee meets.

Then I went to a social event organised by an off site chat group I'd been invited to and went from five to twenty five overnight.

No verifications doesn't mean they're new to swinging.

Being truthful, it's new accounts that haven't been members for long that we tend to avoid.

We have and would meet people without a meet verification, but it depends on how long they've been on the site (no veris after more than a year is a red flag for us) and how well we get on/tick each other's boxes.

I'd agree with the others though, a green tick doesn't guarantee anything - we've got quite a few 'well-verified' people permanently on our block list due to their behaviour/attitude ...

Most meets for us are in clubs so veris ain't that important but we find most people that go to clubs will have veris anyway. Chances of us meeting someone with no veris for a private meet is probably very slim.

Pretty much every verification of mine that are of a sexual nature are with people I connected with after meeting and chatting at socials.

You have made many posts on the forums in a similar vein to this one.

People have advised you to get over your fear of socials and get along to one, yet you still choose not too.

Only so much of a personality can be seen through messages on here, for people to see the real you they need to be stood in front of you. If you choose not to do that then you are always going to be overlooked by the guys that do.

Grow a pair of bollocks and get yourself to a social, it won’t guarantee meets but it is likely to open doors to some.

We play with newbies but with so many fake profiles,dreamers & pic collectors on here having been caught out previously we won't meet anyone male, female or couple without a genuine meet veri, let's face it, if your genuine there's no reason not to have a verification- it's easy to go to a organised social or club & gain a few, & while it's true that having a veri won't tell us if you're a timewaster, it will at the very least tell us you're exactly as you lable yourself- we were on for about a month before we decided to visit a club to get us a veri as 90% of other couples didn't want to know us without one- we've also found that a request of a phone call or sending of a pic from the direct function will normally sort out if someone's genuine or not

Not even photo verified - Not practical, that's fully within your control and if you can't even be bothered to do that then we aren't going to trust you with face pics and without those a meet isn't likely to happen.

People have to meet other people without them having vertifications, otherwise no one would have met anyone by now haha everyone started with none so I don't know why people judge over the ones without any. It's ridiculous. Verts will not make up my mind if I'm going to meet someone or not lol yes they help a little, which tells me they have met other people and must be safe and OK, but it also tells me that person's business and behaviour. And it mostly brings out the worst and filth in that person too. Because a lot of people make them out to be filthy and if you treat them and respect them right then you will get anything you want because they love it because their other half can't give it to them. Things like that just makes me feel bad for the other half,but if also tells me they sound like they have slept about a bit and I better stay away from them. So I don't think verts do anyone good to read them. Reading someone's profile helps me a lot better by explaining to me what they want, what they don't want, and what they are like. And the best way to find that out and follow that up, is to have a good chat with someone and get to know them better, swap photos. That's what makes up my mind if I'm going to meet up with someone. So everyone should just treat beginners and people without verts the same and actually put the time in to learn about a person instead. Verts just show how many people you have fucked lol

There are assumptions behind those questions that aren't true.

There is not one single swinging community, and fab (or any online site) is not the single entry point to it.

When I joined, I already knew people.

Don't sit there moaning that the system is rigged - it only looks that way if you're sat in front of a locked door, and are so focused on breaking through it that you won't take the initiative to look for other ways in.

It really depends on the profile for us.

We won't meet completely unverified profiles. But a site Verification is something.

With users that haven't met other users, we offer a social, or video chat depending on distance.

The same could be said of verified profiles. We've seen some that haven't been user verified in over 8 years! Which we won't entertain.

Users that have been on over a year with no verifications from meets, aren't likely to meet if we offer. Same can be said of those that are just cam verified.

Users that hide verifications we find suspicious and usually avoid.

We find the best way to meet people is by attending clubs or socials. Socials are a great way to meet others without any pressure, and they give you genuine verifications.

A1 - No one gave us a chance, and we never asked for it. We signed up for a local social straightaway believing it to be the best way to dip our toe in the water. By putting ourselves out there rather than relying on an online presence alone, we had 6 verifications within a week.

A2 - We will meet unveriified people. Given that we prefer to meet young single men, almost everyone we consider meeting is unverified.

As a private meet no.

Clubs etc for us eliminate the worry about time wasters. For a private meet, we'd only look for people who appear to have a track record of showing up and that's where veris can be helpful.

I know that may seem abit hypocritical in the idea of us having been new to fab before and not having veris, we were veried within about 15 mins as we were in the lifestyle before we joined fab. So perhaps we're blind to the struggle.

Indeed, for those who find them invaluable also appreciate them - and they are also acutely aware that verifications on their own don't enhance their experiences on Fab. But it helps.

At the very least they help in demonstrating that the person is real and genuine. It also speaks volumes about the person who •gives• them (e.g. on the back of a group social for instance). It's the perfect form of altruism giving an attestation to someone who has no verifications whatsoever, as long as the verification is accurate and true.

I don't always gain verifications from every meet. (There are always nuances to some people's rationale on why they give or why they don't give).

I have verifications - and no one is more appreciative than I.

As for fake verifications - they pale to insignificance in comparison to the genuine ones. People claim that verifications can sometimes cause drama. Verifications don't cause drama; people do.

Verifications are pertinent, they have a value and are useful. And when I hear contrariwise it reminds me of the millionaire telling the pauper that money isn't everything.

I can't remember how long I've been here, but it's more than three years. I never really pay much attention to verifications, until a profile asks for them - then it sort of rules them out (like being outside age range or not wanting single males etc).

Not being verified has not stopped me meeting, but looking back it's usually been with other non-verified people.

Over the summer had a couple of meets, and went to leave some nice words about them, but discovered I couldn't because I have to be verified to leave a verification lol

I sort of see why, but also it means there are probabily lots of meetings happening where no-one gets verified - perhaps there's two groups of people on Fab? At times it seems it. As long as "will not meet non-verified" continues, there will remain two groups of people.

I don't see "verified" as any magic button that will change things, maybe I'm worng, perhaps time will prove differently??? Just enjoying what I can

Like the OP, I've been on Fab on and off for 3 years. Not only have I never had a verification in that time, I've never had a meet.

In the chat rooms once, a guy did offer to verify me if I shot my load on cam but I declined his kind offer.

Which leads me to, I don't even class a webcam verification as a vefification. It just means you saw someone on webcam, it doesn't even have to be the person with the profile on cam, the person viewing the cam doesn't know who you are.

I would meet unverified, that's part of the excitement but you can mitigate risk by meeting in public, doesn't even have to be a social. You could meet outside Tesco's etc, somewhere you know there is CCTV (which is practically everywhere these days).

I do understand why women in particular would request verifications, they probably feel safer and more reassured.

It also limits the amount of messages they receive, particularly if they block non vefified.

thats cool if they mean something to YOU but as a couple/single woman to me the mean nothing as said so many are fake then you have the pointless cam veri and then 90% of veris are just social ... im not interested in any off them the ones i was interested in were the play veris until it become apparent alot were fake ..

also your a guy you dont get to see fab from a couples/women point of view you dont get the inbox full of junk you dont get the vibe we do its a different world compared to a guys in box

I’m photo verified + site supporter etc but makes no difference! Which is silly because there are a lot of people meet verified that have just been verified by friends or ‘pen pals’ who they’ve never met!!.. It’s making me consider deleting my account…

Nearly every single profile I’ve seen states people who haven’t been ’meet verified’ will be ignored and a lot seem to think that the unverified are just time wasters and I’ve been on here a over a year! Not everyone has the money or the confidence to go to social events for a first time and speak to people who they’ve never met!? People might prefer low key a coffee and get comfortable. I don’t see why being ‘meet verified is more reliable than photo verified when people are verifying people they’ve never met other than in a facebook/pof/tinder profile etc it isn’t!.. plus people have been to social events and been refused verification!..

Lovely verification though it was, I am not sure it opened any doors. We have met people without verifications but always have a social first. I am not sure we would meet anyone without any verifications after a year though when there are so many people with verifications which show they are more likely to be reliable, sociable and motivated to actually meet. It may sound harsh, but we also wouldn’t meet anyone who asks for advice on how to talk to people or write a profile.

Been thinking about this myself. I tend to come and go from this site and also there are a lot more single guys on here then there are women/couples.

This definitely works against us single guys as you have to do more to try and stand out, not to mention we kind of get a bad rap to begin with ahah.

I've had a few meets on here but didn't even think to ask them to veri me, I think it definitely does work against me but to be fair, after a little chat I think personality definitely shines through and it becomes a non issue

I'm curious to know what actually occurred when you went to this social. Did you speak to anyone or engage in any way? Did you even introduce yourself to the host and chat to them? The host would have verified you.

If, however, you sat in the shadows whilst peering into your drink and oblivious to all, perhaps even loitering aimlessly without purpose then you're going to walk away disappointed.

And, dear fellow, do not disregard the comments from the "distinguished people" on here. They are distinguished for a reason. They are all fêted (some are fetid), they are lauded, they are experienced and battled-hardened, they represent the landed gentry on here and worthy of high praise. They revel in their success whilst others get caught in the slipstream of disappointment.

Persevere and try out a few more socials.

The only thing that a verification is for is to give a level of warranty that you are a real person, you are the gender that you state, and you look at least a bit like some of your photos. It gives those who look at your profile a hint that you're not a total timewaster of fantasist, and that you did go to the effort of actually turning up to meet someone.

You can always get your first couple of verifications by going to an organised social or a swingers club and chatting with the host.

Top tip: get a few business cards printed with your fab name, the name of the fab swingers site, and maybe an email address or other contact detail (good idea to NOT include your home address or work details lol). I have a design I made on my home computer, I print off a dozen on a sheet of thin card when I'm going anywhere that I might meet new people. Giving the host of a club or party your card will help them remember who you are, and make sure they can find your profile easily in order to verify it.

I'll add a photo on my profile showing my card, to give you some idea. Polly xxx

everybody as there own way of contact i/wee have ours these rules were put in place with sites before fab was even born and we carried on with them ... we use the site only that means no email no apps no phone just the site for chatting and arranging and it works very well we very rarely get letdown in fact none in the last 7 or 8 years and we know loads who do this in facy years ago we were recommended this so there are many real swingers who do this site only ... if you want phones calls and other apps then you will be narrowing your window

I've met loads of people without verifications and organised socials, clubs and parties. And happily will drop people that want one a veri if I chat to them at the event.

When you meet in person at an event, nobody cares how many veris you have or what your profile says/looks like - it's about chemistry in that moment. I've played with plenty of "newbies" at clubs who aren't verified but have come along to an event to meet some real people and get out into the scene rather than sitting at home sending out 7483937 messages to every woman within a 200 mile radius and getting no response.
