Would you still meet someone if they said ‘you’ll do’? Being a ‘consolatory prize’ is better than nothing? Is it not…?

Definitely not, I want someone to want to meet me for me. Not just cos I tick a box or someone else has let them down

If they said "you'll do nicely" instead we might!

While we aren't so pretentious that we expect to be chosen over lots of other people, if anyone used that expression in a crass way then a meet certainly would not be happening.

No, not for us. That’s nearly as bad as somebody using “you’re really close to me” as an initial chat up line.

I’d rather sit at home and do my ironing to be honest. May not be top prize but I have plenty of self worth and don’t need to wait for scraps from someone

This I get so many messages especially late at night saying something similar to ‘I’m parked up nearby, any chance of a blow job ?’

Obviously I get dressed up and invite him around immediately for my 5 minutes of pleasuring him

i am forever grateful for any morsel of attention flung in my direction....in fact, simply a sneer, a grunt and a head flick in the direction of a bed and i am wetter than an otters pocket and ready to go.

Normally no, but given my current circumstances... I think I would lean towards yes. Don't judge me!

"You'll do" is insulting and degrading to the individual.

How to lower someone's self-esteem why don't you, eh. NO! next....

I never quite got why anyone would say a booby prize wasn't anything good, when everyone likes boobies

It's the same as "oh, go on then," when you offer someone a drink. As if they imagine they're doing you a favour.

Had to disabuse staff of this notion before they were allowed out in public. And before we offered them any more drinks.

(For our younger readers and definitely for American ones: it used to be the practice that on Friday night any decent business used to buy drinks for the staff. An American once suggested the company would be liable if one of them wrapped their car around a tree on the way home. I thought my ribs would break from laughing).

Honestly I think it’s a matter of semantics.

For a fuckbuddy, the “you’ll do” mentality is the equivalent of “we both want something no strings attached, you’re local and convenient for me, so you’ll do”. So I wouldn’t be offended by it especially if I want it too. Unfortunately for some reason “you’ll do” doesn’t mean what it says; it has a connotation of “actually you’re not that great” attached to it. So I really do think it’s just words. Correct me if I’m talking BS, this is just my opinion!

In a club once, a guy asked my friend if she was interested in fun. She said no, so he turned to me and said 'well if your friend will watch, you'll do'.

My decline wasn't as polite as my friends was.

NoI wouldn't meet. I deserve better. Unless it's someone you've got to know them and it's said in jest and in context.

As a woman I would say never don’t do it... you deserve better

However as I am a man with cuckold tendencies and loving nothing better than a woman telling or showing me men she would rather fuck than me it would be a yes!
