Hi All.

Apologies if this is something a lot of newbies ask but I had a scroll through the first few pages and didn't spot anything.

I'm wondering how many messages you receive daily on average?

I'm acutely aware of Covid changing things and also the sheer volume of messages from single guys you all receive but it seems almost all the ones I have sent are left unread.

Appreciate if I'm no one's type they are politely read and deleted (no worries and I don't ever pester with another) but they simply aren't read at all.

Never a standard hey in the title, always tailored to individual profiles I bother to read so I'm a bit stuck?

Any advice would be appreciated x

Be realistic in your expectations. Most single men will find the majority of their messages go unread, due to the huge number of single men on the site.

In terms of advice, maybe spend more time on your profile? Your post here is roughly four times as long as your entire profile, and it’s the profile that will help tell people what sort of a person you are.

Many people will look at a profile when they receive a message, and if the profile doesn’t interest them or simply puts them off, they won’t bother opening the message.

Thanks for the advice, I expected many to go unread, just was surprised that it was the vast majority.

I'll give the profile a once over now, how much do you expect to see from a single guy typically?

I quite like the pics of you, but in my opinion you have too many blow job pics.. i would suggest popping them on friends only or maybe only having a couple?

Swingers clubs are the best way to talk and meet people. Some clubs are open for socials, so would definitely recommend the club.

99% of messages will not even be read on here, never mind a reply.

Women and couples get so many messages.

When I was going to clubs for a year I did not really bother with fab because I was going to the club most weeks.

Thanks, I took Lucie's advice and put the majority to private. More normal photos of me would be best then?

It depends on how long you are on what time you are on and if you put new photos. Its on a sliding scale though from when you log in however more male late at night as some guys have to wait till the mrs has gone to bed to message people.

Personally I’m never keen on a close up of a penis.

I also seriously dislike seeing action shots on single profiles.

You look like an attractive man so perhaps some teasing body pics.

Your profile is also very matter of fact and doesn't really say anything about your personality other than you think you're a fit guy with a big dick? This forum post, like someone mentioned gives more about your personality than your profile does.

I can't say as to why people aren't reading your messages but if I see hi how are you in the preview I just delete it.

My inbox is sat on 146 unread at the moment, I'll go through it eventually and reply if someone catches my eye but most I read the profile and delete without opening.

For me any single man that has action shots or cock shots at all in public I don’t respond. Heavy cummer and eating pussy in your profile are unnecessary - they all say that.

As an idea I have 271 unread messages in profile I try and clear it every few days. Mostly I’m reading forums or perving photos atm tbh as I’m not meeting so not really paying attention to inbox.

I get about 20 a day from different profiles (though recently I’ve been finding that some profiles message 5 or more times in a few hours until I snap and block them), and I usually delete all of them. It’s incredibly rare that I get a message worth replying to anymore, except for ones from people I already know. It certainly isn’t enough messages to make me miss a good one, there just aren’t any good ones.

Aw thank you! I think it’s largely because my profile is pretty long and uncompromising, and people don’t like it. I get a lot of friend requests, presumably because they want to perv my videos, but not so many messages now. But I’ve been here a while so I guess I’m not as interesting anymore!

This thread got me looking, of the last 25 messages that I have sent over the last four weeks period twelve have been opened and thirteen are sitting unread.

Of the opened ones two were deleted and I had one response that was to make an enquiry about something in the background of one of my photographs.

Don't get disheartened OP someone will like what you write, your pictures and will start a conversation with you

I’m in Cheshire too. I think if I wasn’t a bbw I’d get loads more messages and some women say they get hundreds here’s a day. I don’t get that many maybe 30. Sometimes more if I’m online as it must notify people I’m active. Also I’m quite fussy but I don’t think most read my profile just look at the pics

At the moment as people can't meet from here for sex, it possibly makes it harder for new single men to get a foothold. Especially whilst hundreds of men are sending desperate messages trying to get sex. Your profile is always your best message, as we always view them when we get a message, before we even read it. If the profile shows he is not a match, the message may stay unread. When you reenter fab with over 100 messages, it can be a hell of a chore. That's a lot of people to review and take a decision on -

Hence why someone who has a great profile makes taking that decision painless and a pleasure.

Profiles that leave too much uncertainty are already facing a losing battle.

We want to see how you look, to the extent that we can know if we could be with you. That will typically be helped by seeing you naked. The restrictions others have posted hold true, hence cock pic and sex pic restrictions.

Many people expect frank honesty - not everything needs including in the profile but we'd expect honest dialogue up front. It's how we each can better ensure that there's a good match.

Don't expect to perfect it once and it's then finished. Experiment and see if changes help more. It will take some investment of effort and patience, especially whilst this awful virus is around. Good luck!
