Vale of Glamorgan

Hi,

We went to Secrets last night for first time but had to leave as it was boiling. We are out tonight and would love to hear any suggestions for an alternate club to go to?

Also please say Hi if you are also out tonight as it would be lovely to meet new friends x

Would suggest Eden, they do couples and and single ladies night as you're not looking for guys.. check out Eden gc. Also peaches and cream.

Route 69 is a meeting point bar, but with play areas and a great atmosphere.

Also Eden gc profile has a link to the all things PDI download which is an invaluable guide, written by an independent lovely couple who are frequent visitors.

Hope this helps.

Eden is a great shout for a Saturday night. Especially as there is no entry charge for couples.

Alternative would be Tantra Club which is a couples night on Saturdays. There is an entry charge.

Route 69 (has discrete play areas), Eden and Peaches and Cream are great places, also personable and friendly owners and staff.

Have to agree about the heat in Secrets, esp on a Saturday night! Peaches and cream is well air conditioned and a great venue, but doesn't have the same nightclub feel as Secrets and alot less play areas. We took a tour of Tantra on one of the quieter nights and it looked unreal. We will def visit in February. Fun4all is also well air-conditioned.

Eden gave their AC a complete overhaul. In fact, I lie, I’m sure it was a massive rip and replace job, so you might find this more comfortable.

Otherwise, just get hot, sweaty, down and dirty in Secret.

Is it possible to cut through the Cita to get to peaches and cream? We may start in the Comebavk bar but then don't want to walk all the way round the outsude of the Cita to get to peaches as Mrs S will be wearing unfeasably high heels?

It's possible, but tbh probably quicker and easier to leave Cita and walk around outside, approx. 2min walk. The Cita is a maze and a pain to navigate.

The Eiffel Tower side (Av. de Francia) is the quickest entrance to Peaches. Probably the quickest way to this entrance from Comeback is to walk south bound as if you’re heading to Before and turn left through a passage just past the loud German bar with seats outside and down the stairs by the lift. I think there’s another set of stairs near Before as well.

If you’re walking out of Comeback towards Mach Bar, then that’ll be slightly longer.

Well that was interesting!

Went to Peaches and nearly keeled over from the intensely strong air freshener that seemed to pervade every inch of the place, how anyone can stomach it for a whole evening is beyond us. Mr S has a moderate alergy to those super strong plug ins that seem to be the thing these days - when did we become so frightened of natural smells - let's just say its a wonder he didn't go into anaphylaxis. This is a shame as it really looked like our sort of place.

We decided we didnt want to treck over to Eden so went to Tantra, and let's just say tumble were having more fun than the meagre few people that were there.

In desperation we then went to Secrets again and promptly broiled at gas mark 7 for the remainder of the evening.

We do have to wonder if it is just our bad luck or are we missing something?

So the auto correct on the site keeps changing something I wanted to say to the word "turnble"? The deleted posts above also ket doing the same when I wanted to correct it. Any way when reading the above post the word I meant described a lonely plant that tumbles across the desert

Peaches and cream is a beautiful club..infact I personally love its cleanliness and feel from from front gate throughout. It has got to be one or if mine and others favourite clubs and true honest hardworking ppl have worked to get it to an amazing standard.

The staff have worked amazingly hard and tirelessly to give the clients a very high class club which caters for all.

It actually smells beautiful and I much prefer this to stale clubs.

I think from reading your posts you seem to not be very happy in general. You have done nothing but complain.

Maybe you should have tried a more appropriate season to attend PDI.

Umm excuse me we are entitled to our opinion so spare us your condescension!

Our last post was written in a semi humorous vein but we also wanted to impart useful information to other newbies like us.

We said peaches was the NICEST venue so we weren't trashing it, but thete is a difference between a pleasant background scent and the absolute nasal tsunami we experienced last night. Even my wife who loves those plug ins things and does not have allergies could not tolerate it. Also how date you criticise someone who has a genuine and diagnosed medical problem like myself.

The criticism of the other two clubs was entirely legitimate also, and we have had people thank us for bothering to post about our experiences. Indeed on the 2 nights we tried secrets many couples we chatted too also said the heat was intolerable. Tantra was a con because the guy outside said it was busy but once we had paid our money and walked through the door the opposite was immediate apparent.

Please take your hair trigger opprobrium elsewhere.

It's just a very, very quiet time of year for the swinging scene. Oct-April are alot busier. Comeback and Secrets appear to be getting the majority of the crowd in low season. It's just the way it is! There is a reason why alot of bars/clubs choose to shut for the whole of August.

We are also entitled to an opinion!

That was our opinion!

If you don't like criticism do not post on a public forum.

Secrets was so hot and you had such a bad experience there

That you decided to go back again well done ??.

Good old saying maybe you should remember

You can't please all of the people all of the time.

My comment was maybe go when it's more swinger friendly and stop with the belly aching.

Have a good holiday but then you probably wont.

Also we was only giving advice like you publicly asked for.

As said previously we offered advice.

Oh wow nice way to talk to newbies, thank you. Wr ctually did try to do research before coming out and not unreasonably assumed a leading club like secrets would have adequate air con. Also I reiterate, others thanked us for the feedback, but of course you conveniently gloss over that point. And again, I have a medical condition and info about the scent in peaches may be useful to others with a similar problem.

I note you don't actually address the points we made other than going back to Secrets, but the reason we did was because we had run out of options and did not want to totally give up on the evening as it was our anniversary.

Good grief you seem to have an anger management problem and act as if you are the Lord and Lady of PDI swinging. I am sure you will fire off another aggressive reply as you seem to need to have the last word, so knock yourself out and do your worst because we are not going to reply further no matter how condescending your response.

Do you know if Eden is actually open?

In my experience of clubs I find that all the ones I've been to in most of the areas are too hot for me I think that's just one if the things you have to endure it's hot over there to start with add on top lots of people getting it on and what not is gonna intensify the heat I can't cope either so not for ne anymore but for those that it doesn't bother it's still a fantastic experience

I'm going to try the cinema one day next week maybe more lol and try for more private meets in my or thier rooms

From what we have learned it seems Secrets is particularly bad. We did expect it to be warm but in hot countries like this you would imagine clubs would invest in decent air con. No worries though we live and learn, and based on our newbie experience we will plan things better next time. What is interesting though is we actually did our homework by scanning the fora in advance and didn't come across anything about this problem, and in part that is why we started this thread to alert other newbies like us (although we didn't expect the negativity that ensued from some quarters)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences, it's appreciated

Sadly for us, our last visit wasn’t the best at El Poncho I’m sad to say, but previous visits would say it’s very good and it is one we recommend.

Not put off by visiting again but for us to date, we’ve not had one single bad steak experience at Marco Polo inside the Cita.

As we’ve eaten there for over eight years, they’re getting our vote.

I’m pretty sure you’ll be happy with either place.

No problem. I should add that El Poncho have an amazing array of desserts. They’ll roll a trolley of about 8 different sweets from apple pie and chocolate brownie, to cheesecake and crème brûlée. We’d take the whole selection but staying grounded I make do with my soft spot, which is a crème brûlée; a lovely one at that!

Hi , we are the owners of Peaches & Cream. Yes you can walk through. It's about 100 meters from Comeback/Black Bulldog towards our club. If too much, you can use slippers or such for the walk and change later - a lot of our female guests do that. Welcome

By way of an update having returned from our first visit to PDI

From what we have learned from more seasoned visitors, this year has been unusually quiet for the time of year as compared to last. That said, we noticed an increase in numbers toward the end of our stay. Next time we will go in October or April.

Since our last post we tried a few more clubs and met some fab people.

Eden was indeed well air conditoned and an interesting venue for sure, but not only us commented on the strong smell of chlorine from the jacuzzi. We would visit again though as it might have been a one off, maybe they had just topped up the jacuzzi. We certainly recognised the hard work and enthusiasm of the owner and her fellow staff.

We met a lovely couple in Comeback and went on to Fun 4 All. The club was great, it had an air of sophistication and the playrooms were spotless and well equipped, we would certainly return. Oh and we definitely had fun 4 all with that couple too

We will maybe do a beginners lessons learned thread to pass on those things we wish we had known before going.

Finally thanks to all those kind people who took the time to give us advice, we very much appreciate it

Maybe you should check out the venues and only go on couples nights. For example Eden and tantra. I think peaches and cream also have couples only and lemurs has a great policy.. Black bulldog did have a no single.males policy at all in place in June, but maybe check with them... as a regular in pdi I know most of the club owners and staff pride themselves on providing safe spaces for like minded people to play... also remember that the entry fees charged to single males subsidise couples and single ladies.. also not all of us single males are sex crazed lunatics.. we do enjoy the social interaction with lovely free spirited people of all nationalities in a safe environment.

Hope you enjoy your holidays..
