Depends what type of accommodation you want. If it’s a self catering hotel then Gold is decent. Very central generally and a short walk to Cita.

We on the Rey Carlos now. Right next door to the cita center. Worth a look.

Gold is fab.

We’re back there for our third time this year. Only a 5-10 min walk.

Xx

The Superior rooms at the Rey Carlos are lovely and modern. If you get 401 or 501, then you’ll have some great views of the beach.

We found the staff friendly and welcoming, from reception to bar, and cleaning to maintenance. All very welcoming. Even their cat that chills at reception was relatively friendly.

The lady at the pool bar made fantastic cocktails and made our stay really enjoyable.

Calma cafe opposite do a great power breakfast.

Downsides, the internet is a bit ropey. So if you’re working and rely on a fast or reliable connection, then it’s a place I’d sadly avoid.

And the rooms, whilst they have lovely modern kitchens were missing a toaster and a kettle. So take this into account if you want to maximise on self catering.

Many people also go to Abora Caterina, especially if you like an All Inclusive experience.

If you check some accommodation apps, you’ll see there’s a good selection of places. But don’t rule out near the Yumbo either, as it’s a ten minute walk to the Cita and some decent places to stay. We were happy at Buenos Aires, Don Miguel (adult only).

Las Gacelas was cheap and cheerful. Not our first choice but if we couldn’t find anywhere to stay, we wouldn’t be averse to staying here again.

Ritual looks ok. We stayed there when it was Wakerias and enjoyed the poolside.

Many stay at Playa del Sol too, which is adult only and has a naked terrace. Heard many good things about this place and only one negative comment.

So along with Rey Carlos & Gold, hopefully this will keep you busy, give you plenty of options between hb/fb/ai/sc and budget options. x

Three times in a year? Filthy, just filthy!

We can only manage twice this year.

North Ayrshire.

Gold is good. Went there at pride last year.

When we went out in March we stayed at Hotel Nayra which just across the road from the Yumbo and dare I say it is better than Gold.
