What is the taxi situation in PDI.

Are they getting back to normal and numerous enough outside the centres in the early hours ?

Probably best for the locals to confirm, but what I read in the press and my partner’s Gran Canaria group, last week they increased from 50% to 100% capacity.

Depending which bit of PDI and not a prebooked transfer, taxi was always €32-€35, unless they've increased prices

Just downloaded the PIDE app (like Uber) Airport to Yumbo shows at €38 Eric.

Have a look at other transfers though, I’ve found them very good over the years.

Slightly off topic from taxis, but as another option, go upstairs outside the airport and bus number 66 (company might be called global). Use your contactless and pay €3.50. Thirty minutes later the bus stops outside the Yumbo Centrum main entrance mate.

There were no problems with Taxis last December when we were in PDI.

We always catch the 66 bus from the airport to PDI get off the bus then get a taxi to our hotel.

North Lakes and Manchester

Plenty taxis around Cita, all back to normal still around 3 euro for anywhere in PDI and 5-6 to Venus or meloneras from PDI, airport cost us 38 euro to Anamar suites / gold hotel drop off

Was off the beaten track earlier, so gave the PIDE taxi app a go. A bit slow processing, but once confirmed, taxi was with us in three minutes and reasonably priced.

Based on my first experience, I’d definitely recommend having this app on your phone just in case you find yourself in a remote situation.

Second experience of this Uber type app was disappointing. A few of us were outside the Cita, not a taxi in sight so thought I’d utilise this app.

Whilst it accurately tracked my location, it just froze. I couldn’t proceed with booking a taxi and ended walking, or should I say staggering, home.

Hoping it’s a one off but our two experiences have been both positive and negative.

We’ll see what happens on the third occasion.

Taxi called zip very reasonable 30 euros from airport to pdi book on line we have booked them last 4 years will be at door waiting for you
