We will be back there from the 14th to the 26th - currently booked to fly with Jet2 - but if they cancel then will fly either Wizz or Ryan Air.

Just got back last weekend - although obviously quiet we still had a great time... midnight curfew on all bars/restaurants but that will change come November and hopefully even the clubs might be open...

We only said ‘hopefully’ - the authorities review everything every 2 weeks or so, and assuming the cases do not go back up, added to the fact they really need the winter season to cover some of the losses this year - then possibly - especially as we go mid November - but even if they are allowed to open - the clubs need the people there to warrant opening - otherwise simply not cost effective...

We’re heading out on the 30th October for 14 nights, all being well with flights and accommodation.

Like the majority, we’ve accepted that this is not our usual type of holiday, but we will enjoy it with the constraints regardless.

We’ll definitely be swinging though...but it’ll be the club at the mini golf. So watch out for our tournaments on the live feed

Let the bars open, but afraid opening the clubs is a recipe to close GC to tourists again! Impossible to do social distancing in clubs? Just by the layout and what people expect to do in them

The number of people going into clubs wouldn't make a dent in the infection figures but I'm guessing they're classed as nightclubs and won't be open anytime soon

Wondering if there is a problem with Ryanair website.

Our flight on 2nd Nov from Manchester now shows as fully booked and there are no other dates/flights from there the whole of Nov/Dec.

On checking flights to lanzarote and tenerife, there are multiple choice ?

Strange.

We're there from 21st for 2 weeks but we don't want to go.

Fingers crossed they cancel but nothing from J2 yet.

J2 did send another email offering a free swop to 2021 but unless we know it's all back to as normal as it can be we don't want to rebook.

We can't afford for both of us to have unpaid quarantine on our return and as yet there's no alternative.

The wife is following updates from pdi its just not the holiday we want.

The guys from sparkles last video walk about update was stay home don't waste your money and come back next year

We so want the holiday but not in the current climate

Any ryanair flights saying fully booked , are not flying,

They are cancelled .

Our fight said that from Cork, so we took free transfer option and rebooked via Dublin

All dates in Dublin now also say fully booked except Saturday .

its ryanairs way of filling the flights to max allowable

passengers. But if we need a negative covid text taken 48hrs before landing , Then Thats a Huge problem .Text would have to be taken on Thursday afternoon and results the following day .Thats not going to happen

Maybe Canarian Authorities may see that this won't work and Revise situation otherwise nobody will be able to travel

"

We have heard there are lots of migrants arriving. So far we saw a few groups of no more than 4 youths on the side of the road and 3 guys standing at Yumbo. Other than that we have missed them completely.

Friday's reported new Covid-19 dropped below 30. Which means GC is really on top of this now and we're expecting good news this weekend.

Yes Secrets is open for limited hours and the Cinema is open too. If bar ours get extended then other places may start to open. Gatsby tonight!

We had great fun at Venus and will be back there again today.

A great find has been Maclennans which offers a bite to eat, pool and darts and ridiculously cheap drinks.

I think people going in November are going to get the best of both worlds. A GC hungry for tourists and venues starting to open up.

We're praying for our home flights to be cancelled!

We have a hire car and have been doing quite a bit of driving around and honestly haven't seen anything to worry about.

We did a dolphin boat trip and we we came back apparently a boat had come in and there were police everywhere! But never saw the migrants themselves.

All that is missing from GC right now is the tourists. Saying that the people who have come have been more tightly knit than ever before and there is a great vibe.

We were prepared for 14 days quarantine and even that aspect has improved.

Our return flights were cancelled and we needed to extend our stay. Our landlord has graciously allowed us this time for free. Gotta love the locals

That all sounds very promising

We have a hire car and have been doing quite a bit of driving around and honestly haven't seen anything to worry about.

We did a dolphin boat trip and we we came back apparently a boat had come in and there were police everywhere! But never saw the migrants themselves.

All that is missing from GC right now is the tourists. Saying that the people who have come have been more tightly knit than ever before and there is a great vibe.

We were prepared for 14 days quarantine and even that aspect has improved.

Our return flights were cancelled and we needed to extend our stay. Our landlord has graciously allowed us this time for free. Gotta love the locals "

Thank you for your updates

It's beem so great to see so many smiling faces and happy people. Everyone enjoying themselves and having a food time. You arrive as customers and leave as friends. Thank you for weathering the storm and giving us the variety we needed in our holiday. Fingers crossed for relaxed laws and extended bar closing times tonight.

Got flights with Jet2 booked for 2nd to 9th Nov, but cancelled accommodation a while back and hoping Jet2 cancel our flight prior to the date. We just not comfortable yet with the situation, and as we are both self employed cannot afford to self isolate for two weeks on returning.

Although Jet had suspended Oct flights, they had said they were intending to recommence from Nov. Not heard anymore.

There was also supposed to be updates on Oct 18 ?

We think that is a wise choice, and are going to do the same whether we get the option to postpone or not. Our region is in a reset lockdown for a reason, we may not be infected, but someone else on that plane could well be, and we don't want to be involved in setting back another country which has been through enough already.

Head to the cita center, which as an assumed swinger (being on this site) you’ll know very well.

Top floor you’ve got Marco Polo for a tasty steak circa €23-25.

And next door is Carlos V. If they’re still doing their set menu for about €14, then the steak was pretty decent for the money. The peppercorn sauce wasn’t bad either.

They certainly have. We had two flight changes, so cancelled and rebooked, saving £80 each time. Last Friday a flight change to Saturday so another saving and £14.99 each way (granted we load up on luggage, priority booking and all that Jazz). But from when we rebooked on the Saturday (even if we booked on Wednesday, two days ago), we would have paid £230 more.

Just want to give On the beach some praise

They contacted us today after we asked to change our November fortnight dates to 2021 as we still don't trust the current situation

They've wavered any admin charge, upgraded us to a 4 star bungalow with an all inclusive package and it's cost us less then out original weeks

We're still disappointed we won't be there in November but feeling a bit better after their call

So staying depends what you want, we prefer self catering and have found some nice places to stay in Airbnb. Would recommend to stay in playa del Inglés so you can get everywhere easily.

Naked - Venus star, la mirage or there are hotels with naked sun decks too.

Enjoying - we really like going for drinks etc at yumbo but at least one night we do the tipsy hammock for something different and the cocktails are phenomenal. We will be in mclennans a lot this time round as well super lovely couple own this one.

Message us for any other hints tips or just to say hello

We are there 12th- 22nd November xx

Anybody booked with TUI and had problems with their November holiday?

Email last week to say we can rearrange holiday for free, when phoned they said we we had to pay.

Email received last week to say we can rearrange holiday free of charge.

Tried to rearrange today through manage bookings and no holidays available.

Phoned them and was told we had to pay then another team said they had only just received email advising our holiday is cancelled. Couldn't tell me when they were going to inform us, only a week to our holiday!

We were wondering whether to go or not due to the risk of people going from tier 3 and not all places opened yet, however recent weather was making it tempting ......

We have at least had a full refund but will not be booking with TUI again after they tried everything they could to hang on to our money!

That is 2 holidays cancelled now, totally gutted!

Have a great time everyone and roll on next year, fingers crossed it will all be sorted!

We stayed in Apts Don Palomon last year right on the paseo they were clean and great for the beach and the clubs. they would have done with a coat of paint but brilliant value and fresh bread delivered free every morning in a little cloth bag. Lovely view of the dunes at breakfast and a jacuzzi beside the pool.

"We agree always use AutoReisen just booked for this holiday £10 a day for the small models and they up grade at no extra cost if the smaller models have all gone "

I used them last year and had no problems.

One thing to watch for though is some car hire companies state that you MUST use a credit card and not a debit card. Check the small print!

La mirage showing available all way through to March next year... definitely not fully booked - all dates available in November as well...

Where did you get booked in the end?

Checked La Mirage again and fully booked so we've booked the Bungalows Magnolias Natura. Naked complex and 40% discount, so all good.

We must have been just unlucky on our dates.

Ah, well, it'll be interesting to try a different place...but no doubt we'll bump into the usual suspects in Comeback Bar.
