Winking at her is a bit creepy. Has she showed any sign that she thinks you are the bees knees? If not, then I can only think of how she’d feel if you walked in, knowing you were gonna be giving one of your weird trademark winks

The fruit is grown there as a cash crop. Mostly exported didn't see them eaten much.

Lots of kiwifruit eaten here too, but best quality are exported.

I agree re beetroot being eaten lots and part of Kiwi burgers. Also, lots of pumpkin eaten as a vegetable. I used to hate it, but have grown to like it now.

I remember watching a travel programme about Korean Sannakji.

A delicacy of eating baby octopus, either killed and cut up just prior to eating so the tentacles still move on the plate, or sometimes still alive.

There is a knack to eating them when still live so their tentacles don't suction in to your mouth

I think I saw something similar on a cooking vid. Tentacles or sections of tentacles have their own neurone control system and can work independently from the brain, so even can respond so stimulus when severed for some time. Won’t / can’t go anywhere near that horrid….

After watching My Octopus Teacher on Netflixs, I can’t bear the thought of harm coming to one. They are incredibly intelligent and have been recognised in U.K. as being sentient creatures. Save the Octopus!

I'm not a particularly a squeamish carnivore but wasn't used to food still looking like the original animal.

There was a big story in the media while I was there about an Asian restaurant.  Where a live crayfish I think or may have been lobster had food stuffed in it's tail. People were eating the food out of the tail as it moved around the table.

Guess it was a common dish in the country of the restaurant but didn't half create a lot of reaction in Auckland.

What is NZ over all population?

NZ population 2007 was 4.22 million

It's nearer 5 million nowadays I think, on par with Scotland.

They probably have more sheep though

Jacinda tells us that New Zealand is a team of 5 million.

Google tells me that, as of June 2021 there was 25.97 million sheep in NZ.

That is a lot of woolly jumpers..."

It sure is. Apologies for my grammar in last comment too. Were, not was

One of those evil things scared the you know what out of me one night.

Stopped South of Lake Taupo in the middle of nowhere during the early hours. Was getting something from the car's boot & heard an awful scratching sound behind me. Turned around to see the red eyes of a possum half way up a tree looking at me.

There is currently an amazing video of a Kea stealing someone's gopro camera which keeps filming. The family find it in the end.

Kea's are very clever and inquisitive.

To be fair, the Pakistani women topic hasn't really gathered momentum.

Not quite sure why it couldn't have been widened to other South Asian women unless the religious angle is significant.

As far as I know 'Pakistani' is a noun or an adjective pertaining to nationality, not a religion.

Officially the country is named the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, if that helps with the ignorance issue.

However, religion doesn't usually have a significance where finding women attractive is concerned but in this instance I wondered if it might account for the specific interest.

Reality check. This is a New Zealand post right. As of 2007 there were 5000 Pakistani Kiwis. Chances of finding a liberal woman of this specific heritage on a sex/swinging site it’s minimal at best.

If this post was referring to sheep, now chances are you might find 1 computer literate and sex liberal baa baa, out of the 25 million.

We will probably never find out as he has left the site1

Meanwhile, I have enjoyed reading about sheep statistics and being reminded about the mischievous keas.

There is an equally baffling post about cock size on the Canadian forum.

Oh those Canadians, always good natured and humoured….

As of 2013 there were a total of 5,871 Canadian New Zealanders accounted for.

Are you anywhere Zealandia? I loved it there. So many different native bird species. Orokonui Ecosanctuary is beautiful too in Dunedin.

Kereru always make me laugh when they take off after eating lots of berries. I'm never quite sure if they will make it or not.

There isn't always wind in Welly. For example, right now it's very calm and the sun is shining. I hear a tui chatting on one of the trees. Last night towards morning I heard a morepork. Yes, it's really nice here...
