I love renaissance art my favourite has to be Van Gogh (he’s late but still part of movement).

He was a troubled soul and I love his early work. His starry night when he was (sectioned) is one of my favourites as was wheat filled with crows. I love his expression of feeling , his use of colours and theme, you can almost feel how he was feeling.

I love his early portrait of potatoe eaters, I could sit looking at the picture for hours and just wander.

Does anyone else love art ?

The right place

I saw a number of Van Gough originals in Paris. I was blown away by the vibrancy of the colour. It doesn’t come across in photographs.

Brighton - even Hove!

I like some art. I was blown away by the paintings in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. There was one that was so detailed I wanted to fall into it and if that’s the effect that long dead artist can have then he was truly a master of his art.

He would probably enjoy that.... I've been a long time fan of Kelli williams for one but mostly I appreciate form and colour in nature , architecture or abstract.

I think Kelli Williams is great, her stuff is very out there as like banksy however hers is using virtual art and contemporary, she’s very well known in the USA

Sketches , and many lithos he did ,,, got some other artist painting and a friend of mine is a artist Called Peter a jones who does a large different types of art from sci-fi to countryside and o have many original of his too , and a local lady Rachel Williams who does acrillics

I love representative art because it makes me feel and think. One of my favourites is the Dance of life by Edward Munch.

Not so much into just colours on a canvas or an urinal at a museum.

I love his sketches and drawings, really lively. Old man with coffee is my favourite.

Though I am really into linocut personally at present. The craft aspect of it is satisfying.

A local artist, Helen Mansfield, does some gorgeous stuff.

I've been to the van Gough museum in Amsterdam and seen "sunflowers". Hmm, quite good. 7/10.

Picasso museum in ceret, France is just down the road from me and "Guernica" turned my stomach, very moving. 9/10.

The Salvador Dali museum however, figuares Spain had his"jewels" collection going on once when I visited and wow! An absolutely awesome show of gold, diamonds rubies and sapphires which is not what he's famous for but is by far and away the best pieces of art that I've ever seen. 10/10.

I love van gogh but I find flawed people fascinating. Love the museum in Amsterdam and have been there twice in the last few years. Potato eaters is one of my favourites of his early stuff. Starry night was done from his room where he was Institutionalized, he painted what he could see

There are some beautiful works by JMW Turner displayed at Petworth House, we used to go yearly to see them. Otherwise I wouldn't say we love art but we do enjoy it. We often nip into an exhibition, more often than not we wander round a bit baffled and

Love Petworth House. There's a lot of Turner in the Tate Britain - in fact if you only go to one gallery, I'd recommend it!

I’ve been going to the Summer Exposition at the Royal Academy for years. I never seem to have spare cash to buy anything... one day!

I adore Pre-Raphaelite art! But then, I get lost in Turners and Constables at the National Gallery!

The Dali in St Pete, Florida is well worth the pilgrimage, if you get the opportunity- put it on the bucket list!

Yaaay let’s celebrate art, art isn’t just drawing art is expressing ourselves, art is what you want it to be , be it a Picasso, to a banksy, art is about being unique and expressing yourself in your hands be it paper or model.

It's a hell of a way for you but the art they have there is incredible in variety and quantity. They have quite a lot of sculptures and some beautiful furniture.

We recently saw an exhibition which consisted of pieces of carpet draped randomly everywhere, we struggled with that one

. Another was a jar of dried pasta letters. Yet another was a video of a bloke dressed in straw on a scooter.

I’m kinda hung on modern art but I do like to sit and think about it , so I do like some modern pieces. It does fascinate me just as much as Picasso did!! Art is personal and very subjective

I suppose it is. I know nothing about it, genuinely. I know what I like as they say and I can tell a Van Gogh from a Munch but that's about it. I find a lot of modern art pretentious and sometimes utter rubbish but doubtless that's the point the artist is making

If I'm in London I'll visit the National Gallery if I've got an hour or two to spare. Its great to imerse your self in some world famous paintings. Especially like some of Canelleto's work,so much detail & look like they were only painted yesterday.

I have a few original pieces on display at home. Two of them I particularly love.....

An original massive print on glass on my kitchen wall. It was designed as part of an art degree by a Dutch artist. I approached him via a friend, he kindly agreed to sell for a price! You either love or hate it! She’s the most fantastic sci-fi looking female, yet in some ways kind of erotic.

The second one is a bottle of Laurent Perrier champagne as it uncorks with two champagne coups either side, it’s done in acrylic on a big mirror back ground. Looks absolutely stunning at the top of my stairs.

I didn't know the place but it looks beautiful and now it's on my 'to visit' list.

When you say "modern art", do you mean from the 19 c.? Or contemporary art.

Contemporary art is mostly about feeling sensations. All material. For example, the red colour might make you feel warm.

his brother is the real MVP history doesn't mention. Art fan myself but more knowledgable in movement and style rather than names.
