a follow on from ShagTonights fav solo;

.

What is your Favourite album of all time;

Only One; not a list of 2, 3, 5, or 10, only one album you play over and over.

.

Mine would be....

Roger Waters - In The Flesh..…

Your would definitely be my 2nd choice op but my 1st will always be comfortable numb. Waters is a genius. I just hope he keeps on holding off the gig in the sky. He bobbing on a bit now.

Personally, my favourite album tends to change from day to day, depending on my mood, however, on a long drive back from the northeast of Scotland to Essex yesterday, dark side of the moon was a perfect companion.

Sgt Pepper used to be lauded as the greatest album ever made but I don't think it's even the best Beatles album.

It is a wonderful album but misses Penny Lane/Strawberry fields being left off.

It is one of the big 5 but I'd rate them...

1 The White Album

2 Revolver

3 Abbey Road

4 Sgt Pepper

5 Rubber Soul

"Actually by Pet Shop Boys

My first ever album & still the best. My lyrical heroes. Roll on May in Manchester!

I saw them live in Liverpool about 4-5 years ago and was one of the best live shows I've ever seen. "

Guy me may have bought the ticket but it's the girl that gets to go see them lol. Whoop whoop! Hope the neighbours in the seats either side are tgirl friendly lol

"Yes I know they are joy division songs.

I was saying I prefer the new order substance

Ceremony, temptation, bizarre love triangle, lonesome tonight, thieves like us, procession...etc"

Ah I see, yes loved New Order too. A lot. And saw them live many times. But still not as good as Joy Division in my view.

"The Chameleons - Strange Times

Yep Yep Yep Yep this wins. My other go-to album. It's a work of genius. Mad Jack, Swamp Thing, Tears etc plus Paradiso on the extended version

One of the very few bands that made a better album each time they went into the studio. Mark Burgess was a very very underrated song writer, only in the last few years has he started to get recognition he deserves.

Manchester has produced some of the greatest music ever. And I'm not including Oasis in that. "

Buzzcocks

Smiths

Joy division

New order

Stone roses

Doves

Chameleons

Fall

Hollies

Happy Mondays

Bee gees

The 1975

And recorded so quickly with the musicians hardly knowing the songs. Incredible piece of work, like a stream of consciousness. Van the man's finest.

Liverpool doesn't have as many, my top 3 would be the B's...Beatles, Bunnymen, Boo Radleys

Bristol

There are so many.

I'm going to shake things up with something that is rather outside the norm.

Miserere - Allegri

I'm not religious, but I do trundle off to Rome a couple of times each year to enjoy the food, the museums, galleries and Churches with a friend who is.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6n9EyT1R3l0

Enjoy.

I agree with Chillout.

My nan’s spare room.

Mine would be the one from our family holiday to Majorca when I was a kid.

It was amazing to go abroad, every time I get the album out I’m right back there.

Happy memories.

Nearly impossible to choose, but if pushed I'd go for The Queen is Dead by the Smiths.

There are very few (any?) Rush albums that are worse than Roll the Bones!
