Does anyone need some encouragement, a virtual hug or a pep talk to get through today?! If so post it here and we will help get you through it!

I’m presenting on stage to over 100 people today and I’m absolutely dreading it! I hate public speaking and my legs visibility wobble when I do it!

I’ve never understood that one; surely it would be more of a turn on and therefore a distraction?

Either way, good luck today OP

You'll smash it. You'll be far better on the eye than a lot of speakers I've had to sit through their drivel. If your legs are shaking a little style it out with a song and dance. I'll spare a thought for you as I'm moving a gypsies and traveller encampment on. All fun and games my way. X

I've presented to a large group, but not that big. Just breathe Op, and i'm sure you'll be fine. People must have faith in your work capacity and knowledge, otherwise you wouldn't find yourself in that situation. Take some comfort in this and smash it

I’m sorry, i just had images of me making your legs wobble in other ways. It’s early and not had my vibrator out yet!

I usually find picking several points in the room to look at, one left, right and centre and just keep looking at those i stead usually helps me get over all the glaring eyes. And still looks like i’m engaging the people listening. Xx

Good luck OP. I used to hate speaking in public, but have started to enjoy it recently. The more you do it the easier it becomes. Believe me, I used to shake a lot, but no one ever seemed to spot.

I’ve got a couple of hour’s teaching cover this morning and a day meet at midday. Guess which I’m most looking forward to?

OP. Just imagine you are talking to one person. Each section or element of your presentation pick a section of the audience and talk to one person in that section You know your stuff, that’s why you are on stage, they want to listen, that’s why they are there.

Be brilliant.

Dealing with my mum if she starts messaging again, to say we're not seeing eye to eye over decisions she's made since my dad died a few years ago is an understatement and she dropped further news on me at the weekend which has resulted in more harsh words and put me in a foul mood. Shame as we used to be a close family.

I've just got back from a funeral. It was a beautiful service and even though I didn't want to go as really struggling atm, it went okay.

"Does anyone need some encouragement, a virtual hug or a pep talk to get through today?! If so post it here and we will help get you through it!

I’m presenting on stage to over 100 people today and I’m absolutely dreading it! I hate public speaking and my legs visibility wobble when I do it! "

I'd so love to make your legs wobble for other reasons

Glad it went as ok as it could. I have one coming up soon that I'm dreading, but will feel like closure once it's done.
