i know some of you may know by now, as things get around. i wanted to say thanks for all the times that was needed i dont quite know what to say but from the start the support i had of here was wonderful and i will never got that.

Love you babes and my heart is breaking for you.

I keep looking at that gorgeous pic of him you sent all wrapped up in feathers and it makes me smile. He was beautiful and always will be.

No words seem sufficient at the minute my darling but I know everyone here will share your loss.

A very special little boy who in a small way touched all of our lives.

We are devastated by the news in his short life he had the most supportive mum anyone could wish for and we are sure your bravery and his life will serve as an inspiration to others who undergo what we can only assume must be the most painful thing anyone can go through. I was in tears when I read this earlier and I had no idea what to say, because nothing anyone says will make it better its something you will learn to live with.

I know this cos I had a sister who died at 4 months old (cot death) and my mother never got over it but she did learn to live each day.

In the mean time hun dont shut your friends out cos they knew your beautiful boy.

Surround yourself with people who dont care if you have make up on and will hold you when you need a hug.

This has us devastated as we read the news of Darling Alfie.

We all seemed to go through the pregnancy with you hun and we were all rooting for the little fella when he was in hospital without you. Now we are all in shock to hear this sad news. Like many others on this thread, we know we cannot say anything to make it better, but rest assured that we are all with you and as long as we are alive, Alfie lives on.

I know we don't know eachother but I attach a poem that I know bought solace to a very dear friend of mine in her time of loss. Its a bit harsh in places but she said it helped her I hope you feel the same.

I'll lend you for a little while a child of mine God said,

For you to love the while he lives and mourn for when he's dead.

It may be for a year or so or forty two or three,

But will you, till I call him back take care of him for me.

He'll bring his charms to gladden you but should his stay be brief,

You'll have his special memories as a solace for your grief.

I cannot promise he will stay since all from earth return,

But there are lessons taught below I want you all to learn.

Ive looked this whole world over in my search for teachers true,

And from the things that crowd life's lane I have chosen you.

Now will you give him all your love nor think the labour vain?

A question I've asked myself too........! Take heart from family and friends and you will get through this heart breaking time - and nothing can hurt you as much as losing a child! My thoughts are with you - and if you need to chat I'm here........Jx
